Here’s what our Review Crew® had to say about these creamy eye shadows

The product

As we head into the warmer months, we’re starting to  transition to  spring/summer makeup looks – and that means turning up the volume on vibrant colour and glow-heavy finishes.

One sparkling new arrival that we’ll be adding to our everyday lineup is the Revlon So Fierce Prismatic Eyeshadow Palette. Available in four stunning colour stories, these creamy, prismatic shadows utilise suspended gel technology that glides on and blends easily to create lids that gleam in the summer sun. Use wet or dry depending on your mood, or sweep these shadows across the high points of the face as a highlighter – if you’re feeling extra.

Our panel of Review Crew® testers put this innovative palette to the test.

The panel

Beauty Crew sent Revlon So Fierce Prismatic Eyeshadow Palette to a panel of women aged 25 and over with a love for makeup.

The lowdown

Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about Revlon So Fierce Prismatic Eyeshadow Palette.

The versatility of the formula: A number of our members said they experimented with the shadows as highlighters with great success, as well as using the prismatic shades wet for an intense chromatic colour payoff and dry for a subtle hazy sheen across the lids.

The affordable price point: Reviewers were impressed by the quality of the shadows considering how affordable the palette is, with one member even going so far as to call it “ a high end product at a high-street price.”

The handbag-friendly palette: Members loved the compact nature of the palette and that they were able to fit their eyeshadow in their handbag for quick touch-ups or transitioning their look from day-to-night.

The verdict

“Really beautiful, highly pigmented colours that last well during the day. I was a little worried that the finish would be too shimmery as I tend to wear matte or cream shadows but the result was more a subtle sheen and not too OTT. I'm looking forward to having more colour on my face as we get into Summer as I think the colours really lend themselves well to a darker skin or more sun-kissed overall look. Great product, would recommend for anyone looking to mix their eye game up a little or purchase a high end product at a high-street price.”

“I used this pallet both dry and wet. Dry gives a very nice subtle hint of colour, blends well and can be used as a highlighter. Wet provides bold colour, goes on silky smooth and is still easily blended. A little goes a long way when using it wet, so I would only use small portions and blend it out before applying more. The shimmer in it gives it a glossy look when wet. This pallet is very versatile, can be used for both day and night eyeshadow looks and works well with both finger and brush. Removal was very easy, a single swipe with water and a cotton round and it was removed.”

“While they are colours I would not usually wear, I was quite surprised with how much I like both of these palettes. Firstly there is an ample amount of eyeshadow for each colour, whilst still compacted into a great size to throw in your handbag. The shadows are not an intense colour (which I liked) however can build up for a more dramatic look. I loved that they can also double as a highlighter for brow bone / cheeks. They have lasted nicely throughout the day and I would definitely purchase again.”
