VS Sassoon Digital Sensor Straightener - VSS500A

Beautifully designed, with a sleek aesthetic, the VS Sassoon Intelligent Digital Sensor straightener is equally impressive as a straightener and as curling tongs. The protect mode button is a super innovation that allows the sensor to work out what temperature to heat the tongs to, specifically for your hair condition on that particular day - wow! The smooth ceramic heating surface glides through my hair, leaving silky straight locks or smooth curls. The shape and size of the tongs allows me to create curls of any size in my hair, and even soft modern bends to give movement in my hair, when I don’t want a full curl. I love the bag that comes with it, which doubles as a heat-resistant mat you can rest the straightener on while it’s on - amazing! I certainly recommend this impressive hair straightener.

As part of the trial, I was lucky enough to meet with the Beautycrew and VS Sassoon team to show me how their new gadgets work and they have come up with some new and revolutionary products that cater to all different types of hair. I really liked this straightener firstly because it has a sensor to test the level of moisture in the hair and adjust the heat accordingly to get the best results and not leave your hair dry and lifeless. You can also lock the temperature in when needed and also if you want to put the straightener down for a while, you can also lock the plates to avoid accidental burns or to put smaller pieces of hair through for curls without opening and closing the plates. There is also a heat proof bag that you can use for travelling on the go and the plates lock once put into the bag allows the plates to be protected from scratches. It was so easy to use and let you have complete control of your hair styling from dead straight smooth and silky hair to the type of curls you would get at a saloon with some practice. A fantastic adaptable gadget!

I couldn't be happier with my new straightener! I have fine and bleached hair so I could only ever straighen my hair a little bit before it felt like it was sizzling. And curling my hair was pretty much out of the question except for special occasions! With the Intelligent Digital Sensor straightener, I've been putting it in PROTECT mode, and the heat automatically adjusts depending on how much moisture is in my hair!! It's soooo good!  When I only want a super gentle wave, I lock it closed and use it at a curling wand! If there's anything this straightener can't do, I haven't found it!

Love this straighter! This straightener feels so smooth on my hair and I love the digital sensor functionality that when set, tells me the specific temperature I should be styling my hair at for maximum result, and minimum damage! I also found this straighter is great for curling and straightening, and found the price reasonable given its quality. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants a high quality straightener that feels smooth on your hair, and can also curl effectively, without the excessive price tag!

As a girl with curly hair I’m always in search of the next best straightener. This is undoubtedly the best one I have ever used. It senses the temperature which is best to use on your hair so I’m free to style without damage!  It is lightweight and easy to hold, and heats up in a flash. And it also comes with a handy heat-proof storage pouch so I can throw it into your bag when I’m in a hurry. Love this product!

I love this! This is the first time I have used a hair straightener that I genuinely felt wasn’t ruining my hair. The VS Sassoon Intelligent Digital Sensor Straightener has a “protect mode” that detects how much moisture is in your hair, and sets the temperature to the correct temp for your hair at any given time. The results? Smooth, silky straight and I damaged hair! The straightener also locks up and cones with a travel heat proof bag - very handy! Highly tecommmend this straightener to anyone who straightens their hair often and is worried about drying out/damaging their hair.
