Hydrated Lips
I lovvvvvvve a lip oil, especially one that keeps my lips hydrated without feeling sticky, and this lip oil is a winner in that regard. It has the perfect balance of nourishment and shine, not as shiny as I expected it to be being an oil but it's giving my lips a glossy, luminous finish that’s great for every day wear. The shimmer is subtle. No scent also or irritation caused which is great, as I have quite sensitive skin! Nice product overall, I will br purchasing other shades to try out! Thanks Beauty Crew for letting me be part of this trial so glad I was able to try this new lip oil from Revlon :)
Lovely
I was lucky enough to try and review the Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer™ Lip Oil for my honest review. I really enjoyed using this lip oil. It isn't as shiny as I would have liked it to be, but that's not a huge deal breaker. It has a subtle colour to it which is really pretty, and I love it because I'm more of a lip gloss girl rather than wearing coloured lipstick.
The formula is really nice too. It's thick but not sticky at all, and it stays on the lips for a decent amount of time until you have to reapply. I can really feel it nourishing my lips, and they feel really soft. As a bonus, they look pretty too! The applicator is one of my favourite elements of this lip oil, because it's so big that it glides on the lips so easily.
I would defiantly repurchase this lip oil, and recommend it to anyone that is looking for a affordable lip oil.
Staple lippie for your everyday bag!
Definitely a staple in my bag! The consistency of the lip oil is on the thicker side (but not too thick!!) allowing it to glide effortlessly onto your lips. The feeling on the lips is in between a balm and an oil so if you like either one of them then this one is a winner for you.
I like the feeling it leaves on my lips after application. It’s smooth and hydrating and it’s also got a subtle colour to it too. So it’s a bit like MLBB moment
Really easy to use every day with minimal effort.
The applicator is also really nice - it’s got a flat end making application nice and easy (it’s not like other oils that have a pointy end)
Great for a lip oil
I trialled Revlon’s Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil as part of the review crew. I found I liked aspects of it but also a few areas where i didn’t. I liked the packaging, The tube is compact and travel-friendly, making it easy to toss in a purse or pocket for on-the-go use. The applicator was another plus for me. It picks up just the right amount of product for an even, mess-free application, unlike some glosses or lip oils that require a few dips for full coverage, this one glided on smoothly in one go. I loved the texture, smooth and moisturising without feeling overly oily. Some lip oils can be runny, but this one had a slightly sticky consistency that helped it grip. The formula left my lips feeling soft and nourished, even after the product wore off, my lips still felt conditioned rather than dry. The longevity was a downside. I had to reapply every few hours. While I didn’t expect all-day wear, I was hoping it would last longer before fading completely.
Overall I would purchase again.
A beautiful comfortable lip oil
I really loved this lip oil from Revlon! It was so comfortable on the lips had quite a flattering colour payoff too. I loved the way it lasted such a long time after applying and it felt really moisturising. It doesn’t really have a scent which was good. The only thing I didn’t really like about the product was the packaging. I think it’s the font that didn’t seem very luxe and it made the product feel kind of cheap. However the doe foot applicator was easy to use and made allying the lip oil very easy. In my opinion this had more of a thick gloss consistency than I was expecting from a lip oil but it wasn’t sticky which was also good. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family. But I am worried that it wouldn’t be that successful in the shops due to the font on the main bottle.
Glossy formula, great for on the go.
This product claims to instantly boosts hydration for healthy-looking, juicy lips.
With a lightweight formula that glides on smoothly and gives lips a subtle hint of colour.
Formulated with plant-based squalane to lock in moisture plus conditioning, light-reflecting emollients for a comfortable, shine-drenched finish. Luxe, cushiony, non-sticky feel.
And I absolutely agree, this formula is incredibly lightweight and feels like nothing is on my lips, they appear supple and glossy without having a sticky feeling and I absolutely love the applicator size, it makes it incredibly easy to throw on the lips even without a mirror.
I did notice it doesn't seem to last as long as I'd like on the lips but for an on the go top up it's a perfect product!
Interesting new product
I have never bought a lip oil because I was afraid it would be oily and uncomfortable on the lips. I was pleasantly surprised using this lip oil that it was lightweight and comfortable. I treid the shade 'Miss Coral' which was quite a bright orangey shade which is not something I am used to and not a colour that works for me. Thankfully, the colour payoff is subtle and not overly pigmented so it left a lighter sheen that was not unflattering. I would be keen to try other shades. This product had a wand that made it easy to apply, it was lightweight and not too runny which is what I look for in a product. It felt comfortable and moisturising on the lips. The only reason I did not rate this higher is because I needed to reapply regularly as the product did not last very long. It also did not need a glimmer or shimmer, it would look nicer without it.
Good gloss, buy when on sale
I tried the Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer lip oil and this is my review. I was a little underwhelmed by this product just given the price point in particular seems too high for what it is. It is a good product, smooth and shiny, nice addition to plain lips or on top of a lipstick or liner. It is unscented which may be good for some but for me it felt very ‘plain’ and ‘bland’. It did give a nice shine but didn’t appear to be any more special than a regular gloss half the price. It is a slim and compact package that can fit easily in small purses which is a plus.
Honestly - Not for me.
After reading the other reviews, I definitely feel like the odd one out....I really don't think this lip oil is good!
At first glance I like the packaging, the signature gold banner from Revlon is fancy and looks expensive. The lid is nice and easy to get open and the doefoot applicator is big!
However. The smell is so chemically strong, it doesn't smell good at all.
The colour I received was '003 Glow Mama', it's a kinda neon orangey pink? Its sheer but definitely has colour. It's not very flattering against my olive skin tone.
The texture of the lip oil itself is not very reminiscent of an actual oil, it just looks oily on the lips - I think this is where the 'glimmer' part of the name comes in. It's very much feeling like a lip gloss, quite sticky and thick! The type that your hair gets stuck to. It doesn't dry down or melt into the lips, it just stays on the surface. It feels hydrating, but not in a thirst-quenching way, just in a layer of hydration way.
It would last you a long time if you were to like the colour and product, but for me I won't be reaching for this! I have a lip oil from another brand that I adore, and this simply doesn't meet the mark against that one.
Beautiful application
I have been using the revlon lustrous glimmer lip oil for a few consecutive days now. The application is soft and the overall constantly is smooth on your lips.
There is a very faint shimmer although I find it useless as it’s nearly non existent it could just go without in the formula. It is only visible in certain lights and you really have to look to see it. Given the small amount you don’t feel it in the formula which is a bonus. Nothing worse then feeling glitter on your lips.
I find the oil doesn’t stain the lips which would be a nice touch as it does need to be reapplied regularly for it to stay on and be noticeable.
Overall I don’t think I would be running out to buy another any time soon as it doesn’t give me any wow factor. Ultimately It a great constancy but having to reapply and not leaving any colour behind makes it not worth it to me.
I would give this product a 3 star. If you are after something super subtle and someone who remembers to reapply regularly then this could be a hit - just not so much for me.
Love it!
I absolutely love the Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil! Honestly, it's become a staple in my beauty routine. The formula is super lightweight and feels incredibly comfortable on my lips, definitely not sticky or heavy like some other glosses can be. It gives my lips just the right amount of hydration, leaving them feeling soft and smooth all day long.
The shimmer in this lip oil is gorgeous, too. It's not too intense, just a beautiful, subtle glimmer that adds a perfect touch of shine without looking overdone. The gloss gives a little extra something to your lips, whether you’re keeping it casual or want to pair it with a more glam look. I love how it enhances my natural lip color with a nice, glossy finish.
Another thing I really appreciate is how long it lasts. It’s not like other lip products that fade after a couple of hours. This one stays put and keeps my lips feeling nourished, which is a total win. Plus, the colors are so pretty and versatile, there’s something for every mood or occasion.
All in all, if you’re looking for a lip product that’s hydrating, adds a gorgeous shimmer, and feels amazing without the sticky mess, the Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil is a must-try. It’s definitely earned a permanent spot in my makeup bag!
Juicy, glossy lips
I really liked this lip oil and the ingredients in it. If you’re wanting juicy, glossy lips then this is the product for you. I do have drier lips and I found that the lip oil definitely helped with that however I would not describe this as my holy grail product (I’m yet to find that). Worked really nicely over lippy too of even just with lip liner. I loved that the lip oil had a bit of shimmer but that it wasn’t over the top tacky and glittery. Honestly for the price you cannot go wrong. I would also say that the Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil even holds its own against similar products I’ve tried that have been around the $30-40 mark.
Not my favourite
The Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil in Gone Rose doesn’t quite deliver. The formula glides on smoothly and gives a glossy shine with subtle shimmer, but the color payoff is virtually nonexistent. Despite the shade looking promising in the tube, it appears almost completely clear on the lips, making it feel more like a standard gloss than a tinted lip oil.
The texture is a bit sticky, which is disappointing. While it provides a temporary moisture boost, it doesn’t offer lasting hydration, and once it wears off—which happens quickly—there’s no real improvement in lip hydration. Frequent reapplication is needed to maintain the glossy effect. There is no scent, which may be a plus for those who prefer fragrance-free lip products.
Overall, Gone Rose is fine if you’re looking for a basic shimmery gloss, but if you want noticeable color, lasting hydration, or a truly lightweight feel, this one doesn’t quite hit the mark. There are better lip oils available that offer more nourishment and comfort. I’m not a huge fan of this lip product and wouldn’t repurchase or recommend, unfortunately.
hydration bomb with not so much glimmer
This product is so so for me.
I absolutely love the hydration aspects- it kept my lips seriously mousturised (even post 2 plane trips) and the applicator is generous, making it a dream to apply.
The colour took me by surprise, being someone that usually steers away from lolly-looking colours it was surprisingly pretty on. The colour pay off is much like a balm or gloss, not huge but as expected.
The glimmer aspect I could not resonate with, post application it was like a lip gloss. Making my lips shiny rather than glimmer.
The scent of the product also was a miss from my end, smelling rather artificial kind of chemically where I would have rathered either a fruit or even something natural.
Would I repurchase it? maybe
Will I continue to use it? most certainly
Hydration Meets Shine
I’ve been using the Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil for a few weeks now, and it’s quickly become a favorite in my lip care routine. What really stands out is how hydrating it is. The formula feels thick and rich without being greasy, so it’s super moisturizing and leaves my lips feeling soft and plump for hours. I love how it doesn’t wear off quickly like some lip oils—it really lasts and keeps my lips hydrated throughout the day.
The texture is thick, but it doesn’t feel sticky or heavy, which is a huge plus. A lot of lip glosses can be uncomfortable or too slippery, but this one stays in place without feeling overwhelming. It gives a nice, glossy shine that’s subtle yet pretty, with just the right amount of glimmer. It’s not too sparkly or flashy, just enough to make your lips look fresh and shiny.
The scent is light and pleasant, not overpowering at all, and the applicator is easy to use, which makes applying it a breeze. Honestly, I love how comfortable it feels—no stickiness, just smooth, glossy goodness.
Overall, this lip oil does a great job of keeping my lips hydrated, adding shine, and staying put without being sticky. I’d definitely give it 4 stars. If you’re looking for a lip oil that’s moisturizing and adds a bit of shine without the tackiness, this one’s worth a try.
Great product to hydrate.
With a beauty market that's absolutely saturated with lip products this lip oil was a standout for me.
Overall, after using the Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer™ Lip Oil, I found that my lips felt hydrated and they looked plump, softer & moisturised, even after the product wore off. It's a great option for days when your lips feel a little dry and need some TLC.
The plush, oversized doe-foot applicator is quite nice. It picks up a good amount of product and applies it evenly and smoothly in one swipe.
The Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer™ Lip Oil has a comfortable, soft feel on the lips. It's not heavy or greasy, making it easy to wear throughout the day.
I found the glimmer aspect ever so subtle. It's not chunky or overly glittery, but rather adds a touch of dimension without being too over the top. I enjoyed this, but for those looking for more of a statement shine and colour won't.
I was quite impressed with this product and i would recommend to those who are looking for rich hydration.
Hydrating and glossy
I have been using this lip gloss over the past week and I have found it pretty good for hydrating dry lips! It is sheer with just a little touch of color, and it isn't too sticky, which I quite liked. The big wand allows you to cover your lips quickly with just one swatch at once. It helps with hydration but I needed to reapply it a few times during the day as it rubs off quite easily when eating or drinking. It's practical for everyday use if looking to treat dry lips while adding a bit of shine - great for everyday use.
A Lip Gloss That Actually Hydrates – I’m Obsessed
Obsessed with this lip gloss!
I’m usually hesitant to buy lip glosses because most leave my lips feeling dry instead of hydrated, but this one is a game-changer! The Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil is everything I’ve been looking for. It’s shiny, lightweight, and not sticky at all—plus, it adds the perfect subtle color while keeping my lips hydrated.
The packaging is adorable, and I really like the applicator—it’s a bit larger than most, which makes it super easy to apply.
I tried the shade 004 Gone Rose, which gives just a hint of tint to my lips. The size is perfect, too—it fits effortlessly into any handbag or purse, making it easy to take on the go.
I’m definitely going to repurchase this product. Highly recommend!
A Hydrating Lip Oil with Glossy Glow!
I recently tried out this lip oil, and I have to say, I’m really impressed! While I initially wasn’t sure what to expect, it quickly became a favorite part of my beauty routine. The lip oil delivers on hydration, but with a unique texture that sets it apart from others I’ve used in the past. It's a bit thicker than some other lip oils I’ve tried, which initially threw me off, but after using it a few times, I came to appreciate this more substantial texture. In fact, it almost feels more like a gloss than an oil, which I don’t mind at all, as I love a glossy finish.
The consistency of the product makes it feel luxurious as it coats the lips. It’s not runny or too slippery, which I find is often the case with lighter oils. Instead, it stays put on the lips without needing constant reapplication. I really appreciate that, especially in the colder months when my lips are prone to getting dry. The thicker texture helps lock in moisture, keeping my lips hydrated throughout the day. I tend to struggle with dry, flaky lips, but after using this lip oil, I noticed that my lips felt soft and nourished, and they didn’t dry out as quickly as they usually do.
One of the standout features of this lip oil is the color. The product gives a subtle tint that enhances the natural color of my lips, adding a beautiful glow without being overpowering. I’m someone who loves a natural look, and this lip oil delivers just the right amount of color to make my lips look healthy and plump. The shade is perfect for everyday wear, and I can see myself reaching for it on a daily basis. It gives that fresh, "just bitten" look to my lips, which is exactly what I’m always after. I also love that it doesn’t leave a sticky or heavy feeling, like some glosses can. Instead, it provides a smooth, comfortable finish that still has a hint of shine.
While the product has a lot of positive qualities, there are a couple of things that I think could be improved. As I mentioned, the texture is a little thicker than I expected, and while I’ve come to like it, it may not be for everyone. Some people might prefer a lighter, more traditional lip oil that feels more like a balm. Additionally, while the color is gorgeous, it doesn’t last as long as I would hope. I typically have to reapply it after eating or drinking, but that’s not a huge issue for me since the application process is quick and easy.
Overall, I’m really happy with this lip oil. It’s moisturizing, gives my lips a healthy glow, and provides a lovely glossy finish that isn’t too sticky or heavy. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a hydrating lip product that’s easy to use and delivers a subtle pop of color. Though I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, it’s only because the texture might be a little too thick for some people, and the color doesn't last as long as I would like. However, these are small drawbacks in an otherwise fantastic product. If you’re looking for a lip oil that provides moisture, colour, and a glossy finish, this one is definitely worth trying.
Comfortable and moisturising.
This product is exactly what it's called. It's a lovely, light weight lip oil that's nourishing and it leaves a glimmer on your lips.
I love a good lip oil and I've tried a lot. This one is thick enough that it stays on the lips well and makes them feel comfortable and moisturised. However, it isn't sticky.
The product has a great doe foot applicator that's a bit larger than most lip gloss or lip oil applicators. I really enjoyed the size and feel of it. It's large enough to coat the lips in one stroke.
This lip oil leaves you with just a hint of sheer colour that makes your lips appear healthy and full.
I really like this lip oil. I would purchase it again and it's become a staple in my handbag.
