Works so well
The brand make hydrate shampoo and conditioner is new to me and was so excited to try it out. I did find that the combination made my hair silky soft and definitely less frizzy than what it normally is which is amazing. The smell of the shampoo and conditioner did take some getting used to as it is prickly pear and was a bit of an odd smell.
I really liked the design of the bottle, it was simple and minimalistic but effective. It is easy to get product out of the bottle and great for the shower as it doesn’t take a lot of space like some bottles.
I like how this is an Australian made brand I think the only thing I would change is the smell as then it would have the whole package.
The conditioner is a lot thinner in consistency than most conditioners but found that it was easier to work in to my hair.
Silky, shiny conditioner
I loved the Make Hydrate Conditioner. I was so amazed at how even after fully rinsing out, it still felt like my hair was so soft and smooth. I used it with the Make Hydrate Shampoo, which I did find a little bit drying, but as soon as I followed up with the conditioner, it hydrated my hair like magic. As with the shampoo, the prickly pear seed oil gives it a lovely subtle scent. I love that this is Australian made, and extra points for being a vegan product too. Air dried or blow dried, my hair was fully hydrated and so soft after using this conditioner.
Left my hair feeling super soft
This conditioner is a game-changer, especially if you're already a fan of the MAKE Hydrate Shampoo. Infused with Prickly Pear Seed Oil and Hyaluronic Acid, it delivers deep hydration to each strand, making detangling a breeze. The addition of Hydrolysed Soy Protein helps to fortify hair and prevent split ends. Impressive, right? I can confirm that it lives up to the hype, leaving my hair soft and bouncy.
I used to skip conditioner in favor of hair masks, as conditioners often fell short. However, this conditioner has made me rethink that habit. My hair feels stronger, less brittle, and overall healthier. Plus, the fact that it's Australian Made is a bonus! Although it doesn’t have a scent, which I would prefer, it's a minor drawback for such a great product. If you're in search of a hydrating, everyday conditioner, the Make Hydrate Conditioner is worth trying.
MAKE hydrate conditioner - smooth and silky hair
MAKE Hydrate Conditioner - Thank you very much to MAKE and Beauty Crew for including this product in the BeautyCrew VIP box.
I am impressed by the shampoo and conditioner duo so much - in fact, I think MAKE overall was one of the two best shampoos/conditioner brand I've tried in the past 12 months (and I've used quite many!)
I have not heard of the brand MAKE before, and it's stocked in Hairhouse for $31.95 - so I'm expecting salon quality. This product did not disappoint me. As compared to the shampoo, I was initially a bit surprised to find out that the conditioner was rather thin in consistency (the shampoo was thick). I do feel that I need a larger amount to cover my long hair in conditioner. But I do not have too use too much to make my hair feel smooth and hydrated. I love all hair products with prickly pear oil, which is one of the ingredients in this conditioner, together with hydrolised soy protein. The scent reminds me of Dove soap bar - and I say this in a good way, as I absolutely love that scent. I have been sniffing my hair a lot. I feel my hair is hydrated and nourished.
I also love the design of the sturdy bottle. I love the flat top because it means it can be stored upside down when the product level gets low.
Thanks again to BeautyCrew for this lovely trial.
Not for me
Unfortunately this product didn’t work for me as I couldn’t get past the smell of it, for both the shampoo and conditioner. After using it, my hair didn’t feel any noticeably different when compared to other shampoos I have used in the past. It felt like any other generic product.
It was a higher consistency than the shampoo but still didn’t like the feel of it.
The size is generous which is a plus however I will probably gift this or donate this product because the scent is too overbearing for me. I would reconsider using it if this changed in the future.
One of the best conditions I’ve ever used.
I love, love, love this conditioner! Make Hydrate Conditioner is an absolute game-changer for soft, frizz-free hair. From the first time I used it, I noticed how deeply nourishing it is, leaving my hair feeling silky, hydrated, and incredibly smooth. This conditioner delivers intense hydration without weighing my hair down. My strands feel softer than ever, with next to no frizz. It provides the perfect amount of moisture to keep my hair sleek and manageable. Like the shampoo, this conditioner features prickly pear extract and hyaluronic acid, two powerhouse ingredients that deeply hydrate and strengthen hair. The formula feels rich but rinses out effortlessly, leaving my hair feeling fresh and light rather than heavy. One of the standout benefits is how well it tames frizz. My hair looks polished and healthy with minimal effort, making styling easier. Whether air-dried or heat-styled, my hair remains smooth, soft, and shiny.
This is hands-down one of the best conditioners I’ve ever used. It hydrates, softens, and controls frizz perfectly. If you’re looking for a conditioner that leaves your hair silky, strong, and beautifully smooth, this is the one. Highly recommend—5/5 stars!
Strengthening and frizz reducing
Since using the Make Hydrate Conditioner in conjunction with the Shampoo my hair feels stronger and straighter. I have very long, thick, naturally straight hair which often feels dull and frayed, however this shampoo/conditioner combination seems to have put a stop to that. I also tend to get a dry, itchy scalp which has all but stopped since using this range. This is the first product I have used that includes prickly pear, which is quite popular at the moment, and I can see why.
While the conditioner doesn't have much of a scent (the best I can describe it as is a 'faint clinical' scent), the bottles are a great shape for the shower, and easy to use which is nice as I think that too often gets overlooked these days.
Being 100% Australian Made, vegan and formulated without sulphates, or parabens it is a great option for those looking for a conditioner that strengthens and helps to reduce frizz.
Hydrating
Much like the MAKE Hydrate Shampoo, this conditioner is infused with Prickly Pear Seed Oil and Hyaluronic Acid to help hydrate each strand making them easy to detangle. It also contains Hydrolysed Soy Protein which helps strengthen and prevent damaged ends. Sounds great, right!
I can attest to the fact that it does all of this and leaves my hair looking soft and bouncy. I had recently gotten into the habit of skipping conditioner and just using a hair mask because conditioners just weren’t cutting it, however this conditioner has convinced me to reconsider. My hair does in fact feel stronger and less brittle and overall really healthy. I also love that it’s Australian Made too!
Like the shampoo, this doesn’t really have a scent and I would prefer if it did, but that’s a fairly minor critique.
This is a great conditioner if you are looking for a hydrating, everyday conditioner.
Good everyday conditioner
I had never heard of the Make Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner before, but I am so glad I got to give it a try!
The bottles have a simple, minimalist design, and easy to get the product out of. After use, my hair was left feeling hydrated, soft, and lustrous. These shampoo and conditioners smell amazing - and my hair smelled great for days after! I was getting compliments on the smell of my hair two or three days after use!
I love that these products are Australian-made, and I also love that they use natural, botanically derived formulations too.
Didn’t quite do it for me
I really wanted to love this conditioner (being an Australian brand) but it just didn’t check all the boxes for me. The smell is the same as the shampoo and unfortunately very off putting from the start. The consistency is not as thick as I thought it would be for a hydrating conditioner but it felt soft when applied. After blow drying my hair it still didn’t feel as soft as I imagined it would be. I’m assuming it could come down to Made being a more natural brand compared to the other salon brands I’m used to
Hydration heaven
They had me at Hyaluronic Acid! I love a hydrating product as I live in a humid climate and am constantly battling the dreaded frizz! The conditioner also contains Hydrolysed Soy Protein, which strengthens and repairs hair to prevent breakage. I applied the conditioner, focusing on the mid-lengths to ends, and left it for a few minutes before rinsing. Once my hair dried, it felt soft, smooth and deeply hydrated. This will definitely be a repurchase for me, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for healthy, hydrated hair!
