Kérastase Première Decalcifying & Repairing Shampoo

Absolutely love this product. The shampoo is amazing and made my hair feel so good. As with most of the Kerastase products you soon learn that a little goes a long way. And you don't need much at all to lather up nicely and do its trick. I really like the soft, gentle smell of the shampoo which is not too overpowering yet still keeps you feeling fresh and fabulous. I have thin and fine hair, so have to choose wisely when it comes to the products I use. This one in particular left my hair feeling silky, shiny and amazing.It felt healthy for the first time in a while and I found it so much more manageable generally,. I used i conjunction with the prewash concentrate (When I remembered) as well as the conditioner which was an all-round winning formula. I am a big Kerastase fan, and I was not disappointed in the least with this amazing product

What really impressed me was how well it cleansed my hair without stripping away its natural oils. Unlike other products, it didn't leave my hair feeling heavy or greasy. Absolutely love this product! My favourite shampoo I have ever used. You only need a little bit and it lathers like nothing I have ever used before. You can really feel the moisturising ingredients coating and nourishing the hair to repair it. My hair is so smooth and soft after using this product and smells amazing for days! Highly recommend to anyone with dry, and bleached hair/ hair that is thin brittle and damaged hair! I feel like this product has repaired my hair so will continue to use it in conjunction with the pre shampoo and conditioner!

I had the opportunity to try the whole set & this was one of the major winners for me. I have extremely fine, thin hair, that is prone to breaking if I'm too rough with it. This is a gentle shampoo that doesn't lather up too much, which some see as a drawback, but generally I find my hair is just as clean without feeling as stripped. The scent is lovely, very fresh & layered nicely with the whole set. Think cucumber & citrus, light & summery, very neutral & pleasant. The major drawback is the cost - this is not an affordable product line! If finances are not an issue, then go for it, but there are affordable alternatives that give a slightly less luxurious experience, but still do the job just as nicely.

The shampoo leaves my hair feeling soft but not fluffy. It feels like build up is gone and that the hair is very clean but it doesn’t feel striped. I’m always afraid to shampoo my hair extensions as I don’t want to dry them out (I usually just wash the top 3rd of my hair with shampoo and condition the remaining two thirds) but this shampoo manages to clean them and leave them feeling conditioned. I get far fewer tangles now and my hair is more manageable. Previously I was always brushing tangles out of my hair (often with my fingers, multiple times a day), but now I just brush morning and night and only occasionally once more and it doesn’t need much. Previously it was driving me crazy as it was a never ending job to get the tangles out and I was constantly finger brushing my hair. This shampoo has fixed my problem and also smells lovely. I tried this at the same time as the pre-shampoo and conditioner so I can’t say for certain how much of the result is attributed to each but I’m really happy with the whole system and would recommend. My hair feels and looks healthier.

I trialled this shampoo along with the pre-shampoo and the conditioner and can say it is an absolutely gorgeous set. I have thick, curly, frizzy hair and am often skeptical on new products but this kerastase range is brilliant. The shampoo alone is excellent, it is not at all drying or stripping, which many shampoos can feel like. I used the shampoo with the pre-shampoo treatment already in, and I didn’t have to use nearly as much product as I usually would. It spread easily with a rich lather that wasn’t ‘bubbly’ and stripping. After rinsing the shampoo out my hair felt like it was retaining moisture and was smooth, and no tangles which is common with curls. As part of the trio set my hair was softer and smoother, frizz was reduced and my curls more defined. We had just moved from a house that had harder water than I was used to so my hair felt damaged and lacklustre, and I didn’t think this could be fixed, but these products feel like they have given my hair a revival. The scent is beautiful, more like a luxury perfume than a shampoo The products are expensive, but I will likely try to continue using them as they make a huge different. I also didn’t need to use much to go a long way so cost per use is better than some cheaper brands. Absolutely worth trying if your hair needs a reset and refresh.

Not an exaggeration. I will be using these products moving forward as they have completely changed my hair. The smell is lovely - like the salon itself, it left my hair clean, repaired and stronger as I put it through alot of heat. My hair feels lighter, it stays cleaner for longer and it's a beautiful routine. I could not fault this product and will absolutely be purchasing in the future as a once a week shampoo (apparently once you've de-calcified, you don't need to keep doing it). The texture, smell and packaging is also lovely and it feels like I'm using a quality product. I have VERY long hair and a little still went a long way. In 3 weeks I've still not even used a third of the bottle!

As a first-time user of Kérastase Première Decalcifying & Repairing Shampoo, I’m impressed. The lather is rich and the fragrance subtle yet pleasant. I love how it cleanses without leaving my hair feeling stripped or dry. Overall, it’s a refreshing experience and I’m excited to see long-term results with continued use.

I tested this shampoo alongside the entire Première Decalcifying & Repairing pre-treatment and conditioner. From the first use, I found that the product worked well to soften and add shine to my hair. This is the first decalcifying/clarifying shampoo I have found that has been so effective at removing built-up hard water and excess calcium that and is so gentle on my hair and scalp. I found that the shampoo emulsified and lathered well into my hair, and also had a pleasant citrus/floral scent. I found the shampoo to be quite moisturising which was lovely at first, although I found that it unfortunately worked against my fine, high-density, curly/wavy (2B-3A) hair once it was dried. The moisturising properties weighed down my curls quite a lot and caused my hair to lose a lot of its natural volume, particularly close to the root of my hair. This made my hair become greasier quicker than normal and made me lose a lot of my natural curl pattern. Also, I am not sure if this was normal, but I found that using the shampoo made the lengths of my hair feel very stringy and fragile when wet. Overall I would recommend this shampoo as part of its range as a good decalcifying shampoo, however, I would not personally recommend it for everyday use, particularly if you have fine, curly/wavy hair, or if you normally experience an oily scalp. I feel like people with straighter hair would adore this shampoo, however!

This shampoo leaves my hair feeling clean and refreshed. It also avoids drying out my hair as much as other products, which is a significant benefit since my hair is bleached and already prone to dryness. It effectively maintains moisture and softness. However, like the pre-shampoo in the Kerastase line, the scent is quite strong and might be overpowering if you're sensitive to fragrances. Despite this, it’s an excellent shampoo that I would definitely buy again for its performance and hydration.

I used this after the Repairing Concentrate Pre-Shampoo and followed it up with the Repairing Conditioner in the same range and I honestly think it's made such a difference to my hair. I started by using the Pre-Shampoo concentrate, and followed this up immediately with the Repairing Shampoo as soon as I jumped into the shower. It felt a bit odd at first, popping shampoo onto hair without washing out the product, but it actually made washing my hair so much easier! Lovely scent, really foamy(despite being sulfate free), very easy to wash off. My hair has never felt so soft!

Loved this shampoo, smells great and soaps up into a lovely soapy lather, with the added bonus of not having to wash the pre shampoo out beforehand they work great together. The shampoo alone left my hair soft and manageable. Squeeze bottle is easy to dispense and product consistency is thick so not a lot of product is needed per wash. Would definitely recommend this shampoo for damaged and dry hair. Not sure I would pay the price for it as there are three products to purchase to get the best results.

I have only recently tried Kérastase Première Decalcifying & Repairing Shampoo and trust me, never has my hair been this good. In a few applications I could see a noticeable difference in my usual dull and lifeless strands change into lavish bouncing coils with life. To start with the shampoo is silky smooth luxurious feeling which makes it seem like something you should not afford yourself to apply. Just a little bit creates a fantastic silky lather that thoroughly covers your hair and at the same time removes all the dirt from styling products or smog of cities. The gentle formula stood out for me in particular. Despite its high cleansing property, it did not make my hair feel stripped one inch nor dry. Instead, there is an ideal balance between the restoring elements in shampoo. After I rinsed, my hair felt tender and moisturized as if had gone through a mini spa session! The smell is absolutely divine; it is subtle but sophisticated and does not disappear throughout day but rather lingers pleasantly without being overpowering. It always reminds me of stepping outside after having just taken a shower. Moreover, I can easily handle my hair now.

I highly recommend purchasing the pre-shampoo treatment, as without it, the shampoo really isn’t that repairing, just a nice shampoo with a subtle inoffensive scent. It’s very thick so need more than usual to get scalp coverage. If you have the pre-shampoo treatment then this is the winning formula, it made my hair like new again. I really couldn’t believe it, my ends are like they’ve just come out of my scalp or had a big cut. High recommend this routine, better than K18 which feels pretty miraculous!

The shampoo comes in a fun bottle that is really easy to use - much better than a tube and less waste than a pump bottle. The Kérastase Première Decalcifying & Repairing Shampoo has a really nice smell and lathers really nicely when layered with the pre-shampoo. The shampoo cleans my hair really well and leaves it feeling stronger. The shampoo feels quite concentrated but definitely doesn't dry out my hair at all.

I've been a long time fan of Kerastase. If I've ever needed to change salons, I've always considered whether they use Kerastase products, meaning I'd never really considered using them at home - I always thought they were a bit too lux, salon quality but it goes to show, when you make an investment in the right products - it definitely pays off. I used the decalcifying and repairing shampoo alongside the pre-shampoo treatment and the conditioner and it's a programme that really works. Given how different water can be in different areas, we're always exposing our hair to calcium and magnesium that can build up and prevent the good stuff getting right into the hair so this worked really well to break down and left my hair feeling incredibly clean and revitalised. Would definitely recommend any of the Kerastase range, but this one is a huge advantage for those of us who are exposed to a range of environmental factors that affect our hair!

My hair is typically oily at the roots and dry towards the end. I wanted a shampoo that is detoxifying and cleansing. This shampoo makes my scalp feel really smooth and my hair has never felt so soft. This paired with the conditioner does wonders for my hair. It smells amazing and lasts for days. This will be perfect leading up to the summer as I know my hair will become dry from the beach. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who is looking for something that cleanses the hair really well and repairs dry hair. I will be purchasing again.
