Kérastase Première Decalcifying Repairing Conditioner

I was thrilled with this conditioner! After years of dealing with dry hair and trying pricey products that never worked, I finally found something that does. From the first use, my hair felt soft, smooth, and smelled amazing. It conditions deeply without leaving my hair heavy or greasy. This product truly delivers, and I’ll definitely be repurchasing. If you want a conditioner that leaves your hair soft and fragrant, I highly recommend giving this one a try! Will be purchasing again. You feel as though you don’t need to use a lot of it.

Unlike most conditioners that feel watery and lack substance, this conditioner feels velvety and high quality! A little goes a long way and have nothing but good things to say about this conditioner. As someone who has very bleached, dry, damaged hair prone to breakage - this is my new favourite conditioner. It smells amazing and a little goes a long way. I’ve found leaving it in my hair for a few minutes to really lock the ingredients in has helped repair my hair. After using this product, my hair feels softer and stronger at the same time. Will definitely use this again, moving forward in conjunction with the pre shampoo and conditioner. Love love love!

I used this conditioner as part of the three step Kérastase decalcify and repair range, and can honestly say it lives up to the claims. I had lived in a house with harder water for almost a year and despite moving out 6 months ago my hair was yet to recover. As the shampoo has left my hair feeling quite soft and not at all dry and stripped, I didn’t feel like I needed to use my usual amount of conditioner - which is a lot, as my hair is thick, curly and frizzy - and I am glad I did because a little goes a long way. The conditioner is thick and luxe, and smells amazing like all Kerastase products do. I left it on for a few minutes and when I rinsed it out my hair felt soft and nourished. As I have curly hair I had to brush it wet, and it was dis easy to brush and the knots came out so easily. Once dry my hair had less frizz, even from the first use, and even with no product in it. My hair felt softer and looked all around ‘better’, like a layer of dullness had been lifted. The extra dry feeling my hard water damaged hair had was reduced from the first use, and even more ongoing. My hair has been more manageable, less frizzy and less flyaways. I will likely continue to use this product as a little goes a long way, and the result is outstanding.

I'm a bottle blondie (well, highlights on darker blonde hair) so I put my hair through alot of bleach and drying products. When I say this completely changed my hair - it's no exaggeration. It went from feeling heavy, tangle prone but quick to get oily to soft, easy to untangle and much, much less frizzy. The smell is lovely - like you're at the hair salon and you can tell it's quality. The price point is definitely a little high for an everyday product, so I will be using as needed and probably once a week. With that in mind however, it does last and a little goes a very long way (even on long hair!)

I tried out this conditioner for a couple of weeks as part of the range trial. From first use, I found that this conditioner was particularly difficult to emulsify and lather into your lengths and ends, which, as someone with high density, and long hair, meant I had to use a lot of product to fully cover the entirety of my hair. I found that the conditioner moisturises and adds a lovely shine to your hair. However, having fine curly/wavy hair, I found the conditioner to unfortunately weigh down my hair/curls quite a lot. Also, I am unsure if this was normal, however, when I rinsed out the conditioner I found that my lengths felt quite fragile and stringy whilst wet. I am unsure why or how, but after using this range, I have lost a lot of my natural curl pattern. Overall, I would personally not recommend this conditioner if you have fine hair, low porosity hair, or 2B-3A curly hair. If you have normal/high porosity hair, or hair that is more damaged, this conditioner might be more tailored for you.

I enjoyed trying the whole of Kerastase decalifying range, having bleached and damaged hair using the pre shampoo, shampoo and conditioner made my hair feel like new, clean, soft and manageable. I liked the consistency of the conditioner and having thick long hair a little went a long way. The smell was nice and bottle easy to dispense. As with the whole range and having to use three products I find it a little on the expensive side, but if your hair is in need of desperate repair than it’s worth it!

It's not as bad in Australia, but if you've ever travelled abroad (particularly to the UK or USA), you'll definitely have noticed how your hair turns to straw after a hair wash! This is largely due to the 'hard water', which leads to a lot of calcium buildup in your hair. The entire Kérastase Première range is designed to decalcify your hair, leaving you with salon quality hair that is super soft and super silky. I used this in conjunction with the Intensive Repairing Concentrate Pre-Shampoo and the Repairing Shampoo in the same range. After squeezing as much water out of my hair, I popped some of this into mostly the ends of my hair, and popped a shower cap over it for a couple of minutes before washing it all out. It has a slightly thicker consistency than most conditioners, though I still found it very easy to spread into my hair. The results are truly incredible! My hair has never felt so silky and smooth! The only thing that makes me sad is that my wallet is gonna be taking a big hit once I finish this bottle!

I was given the opportunity to use the Première Decalcifying Repairing Conditioner by Kérastase and my goodness, I am just amazed! When I first opened the bottle, I could smell a rich citrus fragrance right away. After several styling sessions and a little too much time under the sun, my hair resembled a haystack; however, that was changed by this conditioner. Merely a small amount lathered up beautifully into its creamy texture that glided through my hair effortlessly like silk. I left it on for about five minutes while basking in its moisturizing capabilities. A pronounced difference immediately became noticeable after rinsing. My hair felt softer than ever with significantly less frizz and an amazing shine that had been absent for months! Not only did it weigh nothing on my locks but rather felt resilient and full of life.

This is a nice conditioner. Without the pre-shampoo three-step routine, however, it’s not miraculous. The scent is clean and subtle, so your hair products don’t overwhelm your perfume, which I appreciate. It’s quite thick, so I find I need more than usual to get adequate coverage. With the three-step routine, it’s really wonderful, my hair is utterly transformed. Couldn’t recommend more highly, even better than K18. I thought I’d have to cut my hair for it to ever feel this good. It doesn’t bind split ends but completely transforms the straw-like rigid texture. Highly recommend. Worth purchasing.

I've been a long time fan of Kerastase. If I've ever needed to change salons, I've always considered whether they use Kerastase products, meaning I'd never really considered using them at home, considering the price tag, I know it may put some people off but this line of products is a testament to "you get what you pay for" = a salon quality finish on your hair every time. The conditioner has a beautiful texture, it hydrates and smoothes, detangles and refreshes. I was so impressed with how my hair felt at the end of this. I have a natural wave and some frizz to my hair, I've always needed to lather hair with after shower products to tame it but I left my hair to dry naturally after using the programme of Kerastase decalcifying products (pre-shampoo treatment, shampoo and conditioner) and was so impressed with how well my hair handled it. It felt healthier, smoother and with less breakage after just two uses. I cannot recommend this line enough!

I’ve tried so many products over the years to help my damaged and dry hair and haven’t been able to find anything like this.My hair feels and looks so smooth and overall healthy! From the very first use, I noticed a remarkable difference in my hair. It became noticeably less frizzy and dull, with a vibrant, healthy sheen that I hadn’t seen in a while. The combination of these three products left my hair feeling incredibly clean, yet not stripped or dry—a delicate balance that’s often hard to achieve. The scent is another highlight, offering a refreshing burst of citrus that is both pleasant and subtle, without being overpowering. Given that my hair is colour-treated at home using salon-quality products, I’m always cautious about what I use. However, I’m thrilled to say that this Kérastase trio has earned a permanent place in my hair care routine. I plan to continue using all three products for the foreseeable future, as they have exceeded my expectations and left my hair feeling revitalized and beautiful.

So, I tried out Kérastase’s Intensive Repair Concentrate, Decalcifying Shampoo, and Conditioner, and here’s the scoop. The Decalcifying Conditioner works well with the shampoo, keeping your hair soft and manageable without making it greasy. It detangles nicely and keeps everything in check. But, again, the bottle size is a bit of an issue. It would be way better if the conditioner was about 1.5 times the size of the shampoo, since you use more conditioner than shampoo. Again the downside of this product is the price, for the $75 odd dollars a bottle 1.5x the size would be much better For the amount you need to use, it is not cost effective and for me would not be a repurchase

The final step in the première routine and my personal favourite. As I have curly frizzy hair conditioner is on of the most important steps for me in my hair care. Since using this product my frizz is more manageable and my hair overalls feels stronger and healthier and easier to manager. I also really loved that the conditioner is not too heavy and doesn’t weigh my hair down. The conditioner spreads evenly and only a small amount of product is required. Overall I would recommend this product and the entire range if it is within budget

This whole line as a product line has been fantastic and I couldn’t be happier with it. As I talked about in the repair pre shampoo and shampoo, my hair is quite damaged from heat and will get knotty even as I'm drying it. First off smells incredible, lathers great and best part i don't need the whole bottle to get my hair silky smooth! The consistency spreads well whilst gripping and lathering the hair strands. Im an absolute sucker for conditioner and this just melts the knots out. My hair feels super silky, smooth and hydrated afterwards and i don't get dry frizzy bits that stick out. I usually always also apply serum to the ends but I truly don't need to since using this hydrating and repair line. Iv said it and ill say it again! Super duper happy and would recommend this line to anyone wanting luxurious smooth silky and hydrated hair! 10/10

I was so excited to have been picked to trial this conditioner along with the matching pretreatment and shampoo from the Review crew. I already use and love the nutritive collection so I had high hopes for these. The conditioner is creamy and feels really nourishing in my hair. It smells amazing too. I haven't really noticed much of an improvement but will continue to use this along with the pretreatment and shampoo. For the price I expected better results but maybe that comes with ongoing use. I don't think I'd recommend it since there there are cheaper products available that have given me better results.

The Kérastase Première Decalcifying Repairing Conditioner is slightly better in design compared to the shampoo, though it still lacks a pump or squeeze feature, which would greatly improve usability. The conditioner is effective, leaving my hair feeling soft and somewhat more manageable. However, I haven’t experienced a dramatic improvement, possibly because my hair isn’t heavily damaged. Considering the high cost, it’s a decent product but might not offer enough value for those with healthier hair. If you have significant damage, it could be more beneficial.

I received this product as part of a trial test. This conditioner has a wonderful consistency and spread evenly throughout my hair. My hair felt a lot smoother afterwards and I dealt with a lot less tangles which is always hard with curly hair. I would recommend leaving this conditioner in your hair for at least five minutes, so it's great on leg shaving days! It's quite expensive but due to how well it spreads and works, I think a bottle would last quite a while. I've barely used any and I was 2-3 times a weeks.
