I really loved the John Frieda Blonde+ pre-treatment. My hair felt noticeably stronger after using it, and it was incredibly easy to apply. I appreciate products that not only repair but also enhance my hair's health and appearance, and this one did both. I would definitely purchase it again and recommend it to family and friends. I’m not one usually for scented products however the scent of this treatment (and the whole range) is quite pleasant and not overbearing. Overall, it’s a fantastic product for anyone looking to repair and strengthen their blonde or damaged highlighted hair.

Love Love the John Frieda Blonde+ Pre Treatment 100ml This is amazing product, I have terribly dry blond hair, this does make it super silky. I used it as recommended before shampooing for 5 minutes, when washed hair is silky smooth. Only thing I hated is it is not a lot of product, it was advised to use generously & I did just that, lasted me for about a week or so. Loved the big bottle opening, to easily get every last drop. Will definitely recommend John Frieda Blonde+ Pre Treatment to all and will buy and keep using.

John Frieda Blonde+ Pre Treatment - disappointed this system didn’t work for my hair type. I have natural curls that are foil bleached/toned to a snowy blonde, this ‘Step 1’ of the ‘3 Step’ process didn’t do 1 positive thing for my hair. It left an ever so slight oiliness at the roots & enough weight throughout to flop my curls! It is a simple process to use. It has a pleasant scent. I wasn’t left with a softness from a quality product that’s bonded with my hair. I didn’t notice an increase in my hairs strength after 5 washes. I wouldn’t recommend for natural curls.

The pre-treatment is great. It is quick and effective to use rather than wait 10 or 15 minutes, it does the job in 1 minute. My hair was easier to style with the support of this product and my blonde looked brighter. I have been using this product for a few weeks now and feel in the long term my hair will be stronger and easier to manage. I followed this product with the matching shampoo and conditioner, all 3 products worked well together. I will continue to use this product and recommend to my blonde family members and friends.

I was skeptical at first. I won’t lie. A pre-treatment? I’ve always put a mask on after shampooing. Although I’ve had treatments at a salon, I’ve never experienced a pre-treatment shampoo at home. WELL, TO MY SURPRISE!!! This is a fantastic blonde pre-treatment!!. John Frieda’s blonde+ repair system pre treatment shampoo lathers sooo well and has a beautiful decadent scent. It’s pre treats the hair while loosening up the grime leaving the hair feeling strong, healthy & ready for the next step. Just like the label says, it strengthens & builds new bonds directly at the hair fibre and is noticeable even after the first use my hair felt lush & silky after rinsing and not matted and knotted. I have blonde hair down to my waist, with split ends dry ends and mid lengths. I often have problems with products that can treat from root to tip without having to wash my hair again after 2 days, stripping all the oils :( This pre-treatment shampoo primes your hair exactly for that. It treats all areas of the hair from root to tip adding longevity to your clean healthy hair. I can go up to 4-5 days to a week without washing my hair if I wanted to since using this product. I highly recommend using John Frieda’s blonde+ repair system pre treatment shampoo. Bundled with the John Frieda blonde+ repair system shampoo & conditioner, my hair is feels repaired! I’m experiencing less shedding of hair after use, my blonde stays bright, I don’t need to wash my hair as much & have had a lot of compliments on how thick and healthy my hair is since using the blonde+ repair system. It’s a game changer!

The smell of this product! I absolutely love the clean and fresh smell this product and the entire line has. I have been bleaching my hair now for about 4 years and usually use olaplex but am trying to transition back to brunette and want a cheaper alternative. It is far too expensive. I have never been able to find a product that matches olaplex but I’m starting to believe this line can! It made my hair super shiny and feel super strong just after a few washes. The pre treatment smells even more amazing than the shampoo and conditioner. I love spending time on my hair which may bother others as you have to dampen your hair and then put it on and wash out before even shampooing and conditioning - so I would be conscious of that before buying this product. But, I have love how it has my made my hair feel after each wash just in the last 3-4 weeks. It is definitely a strong contender for olaplex.

I was lucky enough to trial this product as part of the three step set. This was my favourite of the 3 products! The pre treatment smells lovely, like you’ve been at the salon. As someone with very thick hair, I didn’t have to use too much product to feel like I’d covered my whole head. My hair felt shiny and soft after use, and my split ends definitely looked better. My hair didn’t look as frizzy as usual, and I had less flyaways. I’d buy this product again both with the 3 step routine, and by itself!

I have tried a few bond repair hair systems but found them to change the texture of my hair in not a good way. So I was skeptical trying this product. However once I put the pre treatment in and rinsed it out my hair felt so smooth! I love that you only need to leave it in for a minute so easy do while in the shower. After using the shampoo and conditioner as the next steps of this bond repair system, my hair felt smooth and remained so until the next wash. Really impressed with this range and will definitely continue to use.

I love this 3 step line of products it transformed my hair care routine and gave me healthy hair! After using this pre-shampoo I visibly noticed softer healthier hair with less breakage and fallout. This product is to be put on damp hair before a regular wash and shampoo and gives strengthening and conditioning values to the hair which I definitely noticed in just after couple of weeks of use. I would normally use a conditioning mask in my hair care routine but decided to skip when trialling these products and I loved how moisturised my hair felt and didn't need to mask when using this product line. I definitely recommend it to anyone who has dry, frizzy or unmanageable hair it absolutely hydrates and creates healthier hair. I love that this product is great value for money and I will be continuing to use in my hair care routine. The only negative for me was the texture on my hair after being washed before shampooing and the fact this product can not be used solely as a treatment then on semi clean hair.

Loved this product! A step I often skip in my hair care and my hair was definitely damaged prior to usage. Could tell instantly after i used it (in conjunction with the shampoo and conditioner) that my hair felt revitalised and much stronger. It worked quickly and scent is not too overpowering/doesn’t linger, nor does it feel too chemical based. My hair felt super soft and I was super pleased to see such an immediate visible improvement. I do tend to stick to my routine products however I would highly consider adding this into my routine alongside the other two products!

Being an avid at-home bleach and dye girl who loves a heat styling tool, repairing products are an absolute must in my haircare routine. I've tried many different products over the years including the cult fave Olaplex system (treatment, shampoo and conditioner) so I was intrigued to see how one of my favourite affordable (yet effective!) brands, John Frieda, stacked up. The Blonde+ pre-shampoo treatment was definitely the highlight of this new damage repairing system for me! Reading the bottle I was immediately drawn to the "2x stronger hair in 1 minute" claim. A product that works in a minute?! Unheard of! Following the instructions and abiding by the 'no longer than 5 minutes' rule, I chose to leave this treatment on for a couple of minutes. I must say, it's so much more convenient than Olaplex which is at minimum a 30 minute leave-in job. Aside from the quick turnaround time, I really enjoyed the consistency of the product and just how easy it is to use. It smells nice and I certainly felt my hair was being treated and smoothed while using it. For only $20.99 this product will be a consistent repurchase for me. I only wish it was a larger bottle as I can see myself using this one every second wash day.

It’s supposed to make the shampoo and conditioner work better, and I think it does. It has this lovely floral scent that’s not too strong, which I liked. I used it before shampooing, it made my hair feel super soft and easier to manage, which is a big deal for my long hair. I also noticed less breakage when brushing, which is a huge plus. The overall condition of my hair has improved since I started using this product—it feels healthier and looks shinier. Overall, I’d totally recommend the pre-treatment!

I used this as part of the trio and oh my goodness did I absolutely fall in love with it. This product SAVED my hair. I bleach my hair every 8 weeks and it’s definitely not super healthy. After just one use with this I genuinely thought my hair was stronger and healthier. It smells absolutely incredible and was super easy to lather into my hair. The only thing I don’t like about this is that the packaging was a little difficult to open and I’d love a bigger bottle as I felt I used a lot in one hit. The packaging claims that I will have stronger hair after 1 wash, I used this just before I had a hairdressing appointment to bleach my roots and the hairdresser said my hair genuinely seemed stronger and I had less fallout than I usually would so I genuinely believe the trio of products helped this.

I received the John Freida Blonde + Pre Treatment as a part of the John Freida Blonde + trial. I’ve never used a pre treatment before that was specific to blonde hair, but this product was wonderful. The directions say to apply generously, which is a little grey but I just went with it. I applied it to the lengths and ends of my hair then combed it through the entirety of my hair. It left my hair feeling really soft and smooth and I didn’t have so much of a fight when combing my conditioner through my hair. This normally takes me a good 5 minutes but with the pre-treatment it was a breeze. The only negative I have to say is that I want this in a larger bottle!

I used this before every shampoo and I found it to be really protective and nourishing to my hair. I was able to use this with every wash without having my hair feel weighed down or built up with too much product. I often find that shampoos can be too stripping and leave my hair ‘squeaky’ and dry. This definitely helps prevent this, and provides some nourishment to the hair. I especially loved the fact that this did not weigh my hair down as some pre washes can. I have very fine hair and this was perfect. My hair felt very clean after using this with a shampoo, so it also did not inhibit the cleaning power of shampoo. I loved using this before using my purple shampoo as that can leave my hair feeling extremely dry and knotted, and this definitely helped reduce this. It has a lovely smell that is not too overpowering. Overall, I recommend this if you have fine and dry hair that can easily get weighed down. The blonde in your hair will be protected from the harshness of shampoo, and it will work even better when used with the shampoo and conditioner from this range.

For context, I am naturally ash blonde in tone and over the last ten years have added probably every box highlighting kit there is and had my hair lightened at a salon twice a year for the last 3 years. My hair has paid the price and this product is a lifesaver! Immediately when I applied it I was in heaven with the smell, it brought me right back to the salon chair! I really enjoyed that it was a treatment before washing and in the practical sense, meant I could apply it and continue with my shower routine. After the first use, I dried my hair and went to do groceries. I threw my hair up in a quick pony and my husband shouted after me "babe! stop moving!", running to me holding his phone out taking photos. He said "You will not believe how vibrant and shiny your hair looks"... I wish I could attach a photo here because let me tell you, WOW! My hair looked incredible and more importantly, felt amazing. After my 3rd/4th use, it was notably stronger. The only thing I didn't love was the size of the product. I have medium length hair and found that I really could only use this 4 times in comparison to the additional shampoo and conditioner products that I will get a lot more use out of.

This pre-treatment was difficult to implement. I didn't like having to make my hair damp before getting into the shower and waiting around. It’s much quicker and less messy to skip conditioner and use K18 after showering instead. The scent wasn't very nice and my hair got oiler quicker than usual. My hair didn't seem any different initially, but about 24 hours later, my hair seemed stronger and healthier. My hair was more ashy on the ends too. I wouldn't purchase this or recommend though. The bottle is not the best, I feel like I’ll need to cut it open to get the remainder out.

I have never really bothered to use a pre-treatment before. I didn't really think it was necessary, however the John Frieda Blonde+ Pre Treatment has changed my mind! It's designed to protect your hair before shampooing it and I've found it does just that. I've found that the shampoo works much more effectively removing impurities making my hair look shiner, cleaner and brighter. It's almost like doing a hair mask first and switching up the steps. But I'm really surprised and how much it has worked for me! Would recommend this to any blonde with dry hair trying to gain the colour and life back into it.
