Refreshing Exfoliating Scalp Rinse
The Grow Longer Stronger Exfoliating Scalp Rinse can be used on wet or dry hair. Personally I like to wet my hair first and use it before washing my hair, really simple to use there’s no seals to remove simply press down like using a stamp whilst squeezing the bottle to dispense the serum like fluid which is clear in colour and really beautifully refreshing in scent. Comfortable on my scalp the silicon brush feels really gentle and relaxing while massaging the scalp rinse in. Left for a few minutes I rinse before shampooing. As a user of many products including hair sprays, flyaway gels etc this has gently helped remove any daily buildup I’ve regularly experienced. I will be keeping this in my routine and believe everyone could benefit from this as part of their scalp healthcare.
Refreshing
I recently tried the Grow Longer Stronger Exfoliating Scalp Rinse and was impressed. This product contains AHA, BHA, Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, and Witch Hazel, which I think effectively removed product buildup and dead skin on my scalp and it left me feeling quite refreshed and hydrated.
I also quite like the smell of it, a little minty but not overpowering.
My only critique is that the bottle is a little hard to use with the little bristles but overall, it's a great addition to my hair care routine.
Good for gunk removal
Received this item as part of the BeautyCrew review panel. For reference, my hair type is fine and straight. I found the scent quite an overpowering mint, thankfully once rinsed off the scent didn’t linger. Price point is good. Packaging was definitely a miss, it was quite tricky to use and get the product out. The product itself I found it made my scalp feel mostly clean but due to packaging found the product unevenly applied so I had to be careful in application. Overall, did find the product did a pretty good job at cleaning the scalp and with some improvements to the scent and packaging I would rate it higher.
No more oil!
The Grow Longer Stronger Exfoliating Scalp Rinse provides you with a fresh and clean feeling scalp!
I found this product quite easy to use, just squeeze the product out and use the massage brush to massage it into your scalp then rinse, quite simple.
My scalp felt nice and clean after using this product since I tend to suffer with dandruff.
Since trialling this product I have recommended it to my sister who also gets dandruff and tends to have a really oily scalp. She absolutely loves this product and said she will be purchasing again!
If you also suffer from dandruff or just use a lot of products in your hair, then I highly recommend you give this product a go!
Good Scalp Treatment
I love a good product that can be used in the shower without having to get in and out with leaving something on. A couple of times a week I apply The Grow Longer Stronger Exfoliating Scalp Rinse to my scalp my pressing down the applicator brush to a area then coming it through. The scalp rinse is of a lightweight gel/lotion consistency and scent is a light peppermint scent whilst I would love to say I can run this all over my hair easily I can’t I can however do this on the front of my scalp, the top of my head and temples but the rest of my hair need to be done with my fingers. I often get buildup of product, psoriasis and an itchy scalp and have enjoyed incorporating it into my routine for good scalp health. I would recommend and repurchase this myself if the applicator brush was improved.
Improved Scalp Health
The Grow Longer Stronger Exfoliating Scalp Rinse is a highly effective product for those looking to improve their scalp health and promote hair growth. Its exfoliating and nourishing properties make it a valuable addition to any hair care routine. Refreshing and invigorating feeling after use, with noticeable improvements in scalp health.
The product has a pleasant, minty scent from the tea tree and peppermint oils.
Ingredients like peppermint provide a tingling sensation that can stimulate blood flow to the scalp, promoting hair growth.
The rinse is simple to incorporate into your hair care routine, used after shampooing and before conditioning.
Effectively cleanses the scalp, removing impurities and buildup that can clog hair follicles.
Not bad
I’ve always struggled with itchiness and flaking on parts of my scalp during the Winter months, so I was really looking forward to giving the Grow Longer Stronger Exfoliating Scalp Rinse a go.
The packaging is a convenient size (also suitable for travel if needed!) and I found the product relatively easy to dispense, and loved the comb-like massaging end of the tube. The scent was nice and light, but I’m not sure how effective it’s been in helping with my scalp. The massaging end was relaxing to use anyway and it’a been a nice way to start my haircare routine.
Soothed, cleaner scalp
I’ve used a number of Grow Longer Stronger products, all of which have been beneficial to my hair, so I was pleased to trial the Exfoliating Scalp Rinse.
This rinse is designed to refresh the scalp by removing dead skin and product buildup. I don’t have a flaky scalp, but my scalp can get a bit itchy due to product buildup, or in winter when my skin is a bit dry.
The product is packaged in a wide, plastic tube with a plastic brush applicator attached. The idea is to press the applicator to the scalp and move the brush over the scalp while squeezing the tube to dispense the product. This was easier said than done because it took me a few tries before I got the rhythm going.
To apply, I massage the scalp rinse into my dry hair, leave it on a few minutes and then shampoo as normal. While waiting to wash my hair I can feel how cooling and soothing the product is on my scalp, and then how much cleaner my scalp feels after shampooing and conditioning my hair. This is another Grow product that hasn’t failed me, and it will remain as part of my hair care routine.
Refreshing but difficult to use on long hair
This is my second exfoliating product for the scalp. Unlike the first one which was a scrub, this is a gel product with a dispenser built into the packaging. The formula includes humectants like glycerin and hyaluronic acid, and exfoliants like glycolic acid and salicylic acid. It also contains niacinamide and witch hazel. It is supposed to remove build-up and dead skin on the scalp.
There are silicone bristles attached to the dispensing hole of the product container. Pressing the bristles against the scalp releases the contents, and you can then use the bristles to massage the contents on to the scalp. This is a neat idea, but I still found the application difficult with long hair as it's difficult to apply directly onto the scalp without getting it all over my hair instead. To do it properly would require careful sectioning, which I don't have time for. I also found that I had to press quite hard against my scalp to dispense the product. It's still much better than a scrub though.
I found the product refreshing on my scalp and removed any itchy feeling. It also smells pleasant. Since I use quite heavy hair treatments, it's good to use this scalp rinse once a week and it's nice to massage the scalp with the applicator. However I do think it would work better on people with shorter hair.
Extremely frustrating to use
To be very honest I didn't like this product at all. I found it very frusting and time consuming to use.
Firstly, I have thick wavy longish hair that is quite frizzy and I could not get the comb through my hair even though I had thoroughly brushed my hair prior to hopping in the shower. My hair was dry and I cannot even imagine trying to use this on wet hair as it's more heavy so I didn't bother even trying on wet hair and I think there would be no point using a product like this on a wet scalp/hair anyway.
Secondly, the product doesn't come out. No matter how hard I squeezed the tube nothing was coming out. And no matter how firmly I pressed the comb down on my scalp still nothing was coming out.
After trying for some time and becoming quite frustrated I fiddled around with it in my hands and managed to finally get the smallest amount of product to come out so I tried getting some though my hair onto my scalp.
The next few times I used this I had the same troubles so I gave up. I didn't notice any difference to my scalp where I had managed to apply some of the product and I think this needs major improvements. It would be better if it was in a pump bottle and I could apply it with my hands to be honest. Maybe that way I could apply the required amount to see some improvements?!
Anyway I'm not re-purchasing this and won't be recommending it.
Great concept but fell short
I think the idea of an exfoliating scalp rinse is great - helps to remove oil, buildup and residue to maintain the health of your scalp and your hair. However, I found that the packaging was very frustrating to use. First, when I went to open it and squeeze the product out of the tube it just wouldn't come out. I tried and tried numerous times but I couldn't for the life of me get the product to come through the comb so I could apply it onto my scalp. Instead I had to twist the brush part off so I could apply the product directly onto my hair and scalp. However, that proved to be an issue too as the product came out so quickly and would spill. The first thing I noticed was the minty fresh scent and how it left a cool, tingling sensation on my scalp, almost very similar to the feeling you get when you use mouth wash. I tried massaging the product into my scalp but instead used the comb attachment to work the product into my scalp. I left it in for about a minute before washing it out. Scalp still had that tingly, minty feeling. Did my scalp feel clean? Yes it did. However, I think the packaging needs a lot of improvement and I think the exfoliating scalp rinse would be better if it was thicker, making it easier to apply all over you scalp rather than a liquid.
Not my kind of product
I recently tried the Grow Longer Stronger Exfoliating Scalp Rinse. I have tried it few times now. I think the concept is great but personally I found it very tricky to use it. Its easier to use it for someone else as pressing, combing and releasing the product into the scalp is not an easy task.
the comb brush does not work work easily with thick hair or curly hair, thin short hair its better but still not something you can easily use by your self.
The packaging is easy and not extra plastic or wrapping. I love that about the product.
Removes buildup for a clean scalp
This exfoliating scalp rinse was great for getting rid of buildup of silicons and nasties from constant use of hairstyling products. My hair felt really clean after using this product. I found it quite easy to use, it’s quite thick and I massaged it into my scalp with ease using the massage brush. However I think I would have preferred just to be able to squeeze the product onto my fingers and massage it in that way. After applying this product and massaging in I simply rinsed it out and shampooed and conditioned as normal and my hair felt and looked super clean. I loved the peppermint scent the product had, it’s really fresh and pleasant. This price was quite economical and I didn’t need to use too much as it’s only for the scalp and I have thick hair, so it lasts for quite a while. I really liked this product
Not great for lots of hair
I wanted to love this product but unfortunately for me it was only ok. The smell is so overpoweringly chemical that I am worried about what I am actually putting on my scalp (note the bottle says peppermint scent). Not only this but the applicator is so difficult to use and to get a decent amount of product out, I felt like some areas of my head were covered in product while others I couldn't get anything out. I have a LOT of hair, so getting this through it all was a bit of a mission. I think this would be a better product if you had to put on your fingertips and massage onto the scalp yourself. Overall, I don't really feel much of a difference using this compared to not. I did love the feeling of the massage brush and massaging my scalp. While I don't think the product does that much it is very nice to use for a relaxing 'everything' shower on a Sunday reset! For the price, I would probably re-buy this for the relaxation factor, but not for the results!
