Eau Thermale Avène DermAbsolu Recontouring Mask

This product makes big claims about redensifying and toning the skin, enhancing the contours. The formula includes niacinamide, bakuchiol and ascorbyl glucoside. It is a no-rinse gel-creme mask that can be applied to the whole face and neck. It had a pleasant scent. I found the product light and non-greasy, providing a hydrating layer on top of my skin. The instructions said to blot off excess after 10 minutes, but I did not feel the need to do so. I found it immediately hydrating, and I can believe the 'reviving' claims to make skin more radiant, since it does have niacinamide and ascorbyl glucoside which are known to have brightening effects. However, nothing in there would do any 'recontouring'. You can't get any of that from applying skincare products. It's also expensive for what it is.

My skin has been super dry this winter and felt dehydrated. I received a couple of treatments in simples so spread them out to use over a week. At night I cleansed my skin and followed by exfoliating then applied a full sample per use to my skin I massaged it in and followed the instructions by leaving it on for 10 minutes. The mask is a medium consistency white cream mask, it has a nice and pleasant mild sweet scent and felt really comfortable on my skin. After the first use I noticed how much more hydrated and nourished my skin felt and after using and over a week (3 treatments in total) I noticed how much more hydrated and in general my skin appeared much more healthy and stayed hydrated in between uses. After using for a week I have purchased this to continue using and would recommend this cream mask to everyone wanting a more hydrated, nourished and radiant skin.
