Travel friendly and quaility product
This little travel friendly serum was a great addition to my daily and travel routine. It absorbed nicely and was not super sticky. The dropper technique was great as it ensure quantity control and longevitiy of the product; easy application and spill proof.
It left my skin feeling hydrating, refreshed and glowing. It didn't require a large amount of product to go a long way and was great to to use paritcuarly in the evening. Waking up to hydrated skin. I will continue to use this product in my skincare and also be recommending it to my family you wont be dissappointed
Wow Amazing
Being a mum of little ones, and forever being time poor, I literally never have time for me anymore, but I’ve decided going forward it’s time to start putting me back up there again with my needs. So when I was accepted for this Dr LeWinns trial I was so excited to enjoy something for me and for me only. A bit selfish but this mumma needed some TLC, And this product does just that, it makes me feel like I’m at the beauty salon getting a lovely facial without the price tag I cannot afford. My first impressions of receiving this bottle was that it was very sleek and modern looking. Once I opened the screw top lid it came with a dropper, so perfect to measure out a drop or two and this way lasts a very long time and no product wastage which is something I always try to avoid. I’ve been using this Serum daily for the last few weeks and I have really noticed a difference to my skin, At first my
Skin had a few breakouts, but within a couple of days ever Went back to normal. The silky smooth clear serum feels so good against my skin, such a lovely thick consistency that my skin loves absorbing and soaking up. I found that it does give my skin that extra glow and really makes my skin shine. A perfect product to add under makeup and other products to get the day started right, A product that isn’t too pricey to purchase and that won’t break the budget and can really do wonders for my skin is something I would be so happy to invest in down the track. With the small amount needed the bottle goes a very long way and I’m definitely happy about that, and will continue to enjoy it until my Last drop. And to be completely honest with this review, I’ve never tried a Dr LeWinns product before and this was so good for my first experience. My skin loves that extra boost of daily serum and I’m thankful to be able to try this new product for a trial, and hope to continue to do so in the near future. Sometimes when you’re a mum, we’ll most times we just dream about using expensive, amazing products that actually make a difference and this does just that. But only dream as they normally have big price tags, but this is something I would continue it’s so dreamy and amazing on my skin. Going forward I will be keeping my eyes open for anymore Dr LeWinns range as they are really lovely and they are something I’ve never looked at before at all. So this trial surely has opened my eyes and I’m really happy about that, cannot wait to start looking after my skin and it’s needs. Here’s to a new year of making lots of selfless changes to my skincare routine cause this mumma needs it.
nice addition
This little gem felt fab on my skin. It absorbed nicely with minimal sticky residue. the dropper is fantastic as is the spill proof bottle. it leaves my skin feeling soft and quite hydrated and bright. While its way to early to see genuine results from the product, i found it slide into my routine nicely, a little goes a very long way, and i had zero irritation with my generally picky face. I will continue to use this product in my skincare and also be recommending it to my family you wont be dissappointed
Lovely feel
I had never used a Dr. Lewinns product before and so was pleasantly surprised by this serum. I know that not all serums are the same, that it’s important to have the right combination of ingredients to actually show results, and this product seems to do it. I noticed my skin was much brighter and more even looking. I use it at night and wake up with my skin feeling very hydrated. The only negative I would say, is that the packaging doesn’t reflect the price - a nicer looking bottle would add a bit of luxury to the ritual of a nighttime skincare routine.
Effectively absorbs into skin
I have had mixed experiences with vitamin c in the past. Majority of vitamin c serums have had difficulty absorbing into my skin and end up staying tacky on the surface and pilling when I apply spf or makeup.
This didn’t happen with this serum which was the biggest win for me, I enjoyed applying it morning before my other day creams and makeup. It was also great to use at night because the light weight nature of it absorbed so effectively into the skin it didn’t leave a sticky residue.
In terms of results I noticed a subtle improvement to my skins texture and tone (reduced redness and more even). I think it has also helped to fade some freckles and pigmentation.
I would purchase this product on sale again
Yehhhh... it's ok.....
The packaging of Dr LeWinn's Serum Series - Vitamin C + Fision GlowPles Glow Serum is nice and very professional looking.
Though once I opened the box I personally did not think very highly of the product look itself as it to me has a midrange priced beauty product container look to it.
I did however like how the bottle distributes the serum product. I found that It was very easy to use and very clean with no product wastage.
I personally didn't notice a difference in the brightness of my skin and feel like it didn't do very much for me look wise but I did like how thick the serum was and how quickly it absorbed into the skin aswell. I feel like my face and neck were pretty hydrated throughout the day and the night.
Actually works and love the fragrance!!
At first sight, the box that it comes in is very plain, the same can be said about the bottle. The dropper is interesting, a bit hard to press if you have long nails, but once you overcome that... the dropper releases the serum as pressed and there is no wastage, as there is a built-in mechanism to scrape off the excess serum. However, we can't judge a book by its cover the contents is what's important.
The serum itself has a very light pleasant fragrance... almost refreshing!!! The consistency is not too thick and very absorbent into the skin once applied. I noticed results after the first week, my complexion cleared up and my husband has noticed my skin is noticeably brighter and clearer.
At an RRP of $74.99 it is a bit dear, will definately purchase if it is on sale as the results were noticed not just by me also the hubby!
Great for even skin tone
I've been using this product for a bit over three weeks now and have noticed my skin tone looking more even. It has helped to get rid of a lot of the redness around my nose and eye areas but I haven't really noticed a reduction or change with my wrinkles.
The texture of the product isn't too bad but I didn't feel it absorb into my skin as well as other syrums I've used before. It doesn't really have much of a fragrance and didn't irritate my sensitive skin which is definitely a bonus.
I'll keep using the product until it's finished before I decide whether or not to purchase it again.
Great but a little pricey
This serum is great for those with dry skin, was used under a moisturiser that without the serum was underwhelming. When used with the moisturiser i felt I had a smooth complexion and a healthy glow. The serum tended to be a little sticky if using only a small amount but other than that didn’t mind the texture. I’m saying that, I used a lot more than probably necessary which meant I ran out quite quickly. The price for the size of the bottle I found was quite steep but it was a good product overall. I don’t know if I will purchase again with the price as high as it was.
An okay Vit C serum
It's only over the last 6 months or so that I've really committed to using a vitamin c serum regularly (almost every morning) and have really started seeing noticeable improvements in my skin, with a considerable reduction in redness/hyperpigmentation and my texture is starting to even out.
Having finally seen the benefits of a bit c serum, I was really looking forward to trying this product after being chosen to trial it. Unfortunately, it was somewhat underwhelming.
The product itself is a pretty standard serum, not being too thin or thick in consistency, and being in packaging with an interesting pipette. Unfortunately, the product doesn't have the slip of my existing vit c serum and it is very sticky almost as soon as it is applied to the skin.
As for brightening, this has been maintaining my skin; I was not using this every day by the end, so can't really speak to long-term improvements, but it certainly didn't irritate my skin or undo any of the brightening that I've already encountered from my existing serum.
Whilst I don't think this is a bad product, given I have a vit c + antioxidant serum that is really nice to apply without any stickiness, that absorbs quickly, has really helped my skin without irritating or dying it, and doesn't cost as much as this one does (not by a huge margin, but slightly cheaper), I was a bit disappointed in this one and won't purchase myself once I've finished this bottle.
My complexion is brighter
I used this product exclusively every night so I could see the results more effectively.
I have pigmentation from my last pregnancy and it hasn't gone away, my baby is now 14months. I am impressed with my skin after use of this product, I can notice a clear brighter skin. It has given me more confidence to go out without a tint or makeup on.
The product itself is easy to use with the dropper, the consistency I would say is thick but spreads very well.
I would recommend this product to anyone wanting brighter skin, worked for me.
So/so
Hmmm. I wanted to love this one but unfortunately, that’s not totally true…
Firstly, the packaging is practical but clunky. It’s good but certainly doesn't give off the luxurious vibe that I would expect for a $70 product.
The product itself drops reasonably okay from the packaging. It’s a transparent, scent less product that has a gel-like texture. A lot goes a long way and I found that I only needed two drops to cover my face and neck. It sinks in to the skin quickly without leaving a tacky residue. in fact, it unfortunately doesn’t feel like wearing anything so it’s definitely something you need to go over with a hydrating moisturiser. I didn’t see a y improvement in my skin like I have other products in the past which has put me off taking the effort to use it.
Gladly though, it didn’t cause any irritation to my skin which is getting more and more sensitive.
I will give it more time and see if there are any improvements by the time I get through the bottle though before I write it off.
Not the best, not the worst.
Straight off the bat, I had quite high hopes for this.. However as time pursued I was a little let down. Although it did leave my skin looking fresher in the long run and evened out my skin tone more, it just wasn't as absorbing on my skin as I would've liked it to be! I found that it dried my skin more than anything after apllying and I usually had to top up with moisturiser. The pump on top made it a bit awkward to hold when dispersing onto the face also the size of the dropper is a bit too large, I found using half of a full pump was even enough to cover all the areas of my face. Over all, not my favourite product especially with its price range.. However my partner really liked this so maybe its better suited to a certain skin type, unfortunately just not mine.
Pretty good
Overall good product id use myself. I am a big fan of vitamin c. Firstly I liked the packaging. I liked the suction dropper, it dispensed just the right amount of product. The serum itself had a nice, thick texture which absorbed well into the skin. It feels nice on the skin without being too heavy or too thick. Works well under make up as well. I didn’t notice any miraculous impact on my skin, but my skin is pretty good in general. It definitely didn’t have any negative impacts on my skin, no break outs etc. overall good product that I’d use again.
Serum doesn't reflect price tag
I had some expectations of the Dr. LeWinn’s Serum Series – Vitamin C + Fision GlowPlex Glow Serum. However, I was left a little disappointed. I didn't notice any real difference in glow during my trial and the strong scent of lemon was a off putting. The packaging didn't reflect the price tag of $74.99. As a fellow reviewer stated, the dropper is clunky. The serum itself is gel-like, felt nice and absorbed into my skin nicely. That was the main positive. I will continue using it but I wouldn't pay full price on this product.
Serum for skin radiance
Recently I tried this product for 4 weeks and am happy with the results.
It's very lightweight and fragrance -free. Only a drop in the morning and at night on the face is enough.
I found that my skin was more radiant and found that brighter. My pigmentation reduced visibly and it even helped to even the skin tone. The only recommendation that I felt for this product was if it could be available on specials as for $72 I felt it is a bit on expensive side comparing with other similar products.
Happy with the results though and would recommend to family and friends too.
Texture too thick
Since using the serum I've noticed my fine lines less and felt that my skin has been hydrated, however as someone with an oily t-zone I felt it was a bit too heavy and maybe better suited to dryer skin types. The texture is very thick and a bit slimy, and although it does absorb well and I didn't have any issues wearing it under make up it felt a bit heavy for me to wear during the day.
While the bottle design works, the dropper delivers 2 to 3 times more than required and does feel a bit cheap being all plastic unlike comparative brands. For the price I wouldn't purchase but if it was in the $30-40 range I'd recommend for those with dry skin types.
Too Harsh
To give some background and reference - my skin is combination oily type without any sensitivity issues, in most cases.
I have used Dr Lewinn's products before and liked a few of them but sadly this one won't be getting added to that list.
Turns out my skin found this to be on the side of too much. Just after first couple of days my skin started breaking out a bit and also felt little more sensitive in the sun. Considering that this might be a purge, I paused for 3 days and then resumed with just one drop of serum mixed with face oil, only at night times. For a week or so this was fine but again little red dots started appearing. For the next week, I reduced to using 2-3 times per week instead of daily - again just one drop mixed with face oil. It's been two weeks since that change and so far that has been alright.
In terms of the effect, I didn't notice any major changes but you can blame that on not being able to use enough product for enough period of time. Having said that, I did try it out on elbows and knees where the skin is slightly darker and also tougher. I'm yet to see any significant results since it's been only one week but it does seem to do better on those skin patches. It can very well be just my imagination but I do feel that the tone seems to slightly brighter/lighter. Also, this serums spreads pretty easily so even for both elbows and knees, just few drops are usually enough.
A drop of hydration
This is a thin clear serum that comes in an opaque cylindrical plastic dropper bottle. The opaque packaging keeps the vitamin C from oxidising, which is very important for the vitamin C to continue to be effective. The dropper is a modern pipette style, where one full drop is way too much for my face and chest. The product absorbs very easily into my skin and has a faint citrusy smell. As with all hyaluronic acid containing products, it's best to apply on damp skin and apply even more water afterwards for the product to grab onto the external moisture. On the first few applications, small parts of my skin were slightly irritated. However, after about two days, I had no more issues. It's great that this has a short ingredient list. Although, I'm very surprised this has both niacinamide and vitamin C, which are usually a recipe for redness. It's hard to say whether this product caused any noticeable redness for me, as my skin can be a bit red anyway. After about 3 weeks use, I feel my skin is more surface-hydrated. I don't think any pigmentation has reduced and I need more time assess this. Unfortunately, for $75 I expected more! That said, Dr Lewinn's does go on sale every few months at 50%, which makes the pricing a bit better.
Great effective Vitamin C Serum
Vitamin C is a staple of my skin routine and I wouldn't be caught going out without it. I had never used Dr. LeWinn's before so was very excited to try this product. First of all, the packaging was great, and the mechanics of the dropper were very cool (i.e. pressing the lid before removing the pipette). With a little bit of practice, it deposited just the right amount for my face. The serum itself is light and non-sticky, and absorbed very quickly into the skin. I could wear it easily under make-up without piling. The serum feels nice and refreshing on the skin with no detectable scent or fragrance. After using it for a couple of weeks my skin looks brighter and more hydrated. I would, without a doubt recommend this product to other friends and family.
