Considering she played a witch on The Secret Circle, a werewolf on The Vampire Diares/The Originals, and a mermaid in the Aussie classic H20: Just Add Water, Phoebe Tonkin definitely has a flair for the supernatural. And now she’s bringing the witchy seance vibes right into her wellness routine.
Posting an Instagram story featuring some of her “witchy bits”, Tonkin confirmed her affinity for crystals (we counted eight in the chic flat lay snap), as well as some stellar skin care and scent buys.
Here's everything that goes into Tonkin’s witchy wellness ritual…
Phoebe Tonkin’s favourite lip balm
It’s clear Tonkin is still a true blue Aussie girl at heart, even when living in Hollywood – she still relies on the Lucas’ Papaw Lip Care Ointment ($8.60 at Woolworths) as a hydrating essential. We’d guess she douses her lips in the stuff, but its multipurpose formula can be used for everything from insect bites to burns. FYI, it could maybe even come in handy if lighting the next product goes wrong…
Phoebe Tonkin’s favourite candle
A seance would simply be incomplete without an aromatic candle burning! Tonkin’s fave? The Andie Jane x Maison Ko ‘Josie’ The Candle ($82.28 at Andie Jane), a heavenly home fragrance featuring hints of zesty bergamot, earthy iris, and gourmand vanilla. In addition to the sweet-smelling sensory treat it delivers, it’s safe to say the mood lighting the flickering flame offers contributes to the overall ‘witchy’ vibe, too.
Phoebe Tonkin’s favourite hand cream
Tonkin’s lip balm may be a budget buy, but for her hands, she likes something a little more luxurious. She’s got a stellar relationship with Chanel (even repping some of the brand’s products), so it comes as no surprise that she slathers her palms in the Chanel La Crème Main Hand Cream ($87 at Myer). If we had an endless supply of the stuff, we'd do the very same! It’s a silky-smooth, melt-away moisturiser for hands and nails that leaves everything from your skin to your cuticles noticeably nourished and deliciously scented.
What a way to unwind! Add in a little gratitude journalling and a nice cup of tea (like Tonkin already has; she's a pro), and you're really talking.
