Olivia Rodrigo just matched her nails to her lipstick

It's as if she's been reading our minds. Just as we started to wonder, "where on earth is Olivia Rodrigo?!" the popstar resurfaces. Only this time she hasn't resurfaced with a new hit song (although her new song "Vampire" is set to drop on the 30th of June), it's actually her perfectly coordinated red nail polish and red lipstick. And in one quick Instagram mirror selfie, Rodrigo has us forgetting everything we thought we knew about colour clashing, neutral nails and making only one bold beauty statement at a time.

In fact, Rodrigo's latest look has got us thinking about all things red. Red lights and stop signs are two items that spring to mind...

The Instagram, captioned "bang bang kiss kiss" sent Rodrigo fans into a frenzy as they believe this is one major Taylor Swift-esque easter egg. After a quick scroll of the comments, the majority of self-appointed private investigators will have you believing this image represents more than just a passion for a matchy-matchy look, and has far more to do with an upcoming collaboration with Lana Del Rey (as the caption has referenced lyrics from Lana's song, "Venice Bitch"). 

We can't help but draw the connection between Rodrigo's upcoming single, "Vampire" and the blood-red shade of her manicure and lippy. Although according to the cover art, Rodrigo has opted for a similar shade of purple as previously seen on her debut album, 'Sour'.

Truth be told, we're not in the business of uncovering hidden meanings, we'll leave those to fan theories to TikTok. What we are interested in however, is figuring out the best way to replicate such a killer glam moment.
