The 4 products in Nara Smith's stripped back skin care routine
"I've realised the simpler I keep it the better"
Nara Smith built herself a small empire as an influencer by cooking elaborate meals from scratch for her husband Lucky Blue Smith and the couple's three children.
But unlike the lengthy recipes she makes in her picture perfect kitchen, the model's skin care routine is decidedly simple by comparison.
However, according to the 23 year old, this wasn't always the case.
"I used to try everything and anything, and think that I needed a 13-step skin care routine, because that's what the Internet kept telling me. But now I've realised the simpler I keep it the better," Smith recently shared with Vogue.
"I have one cleanser I use at night, and in the morning a face oil and a moisturiser. If I'm feeling fancy I'm going to put on a sunscreen, but that's not guaranteed," she explained.
Smith has used the True Botanicals Radiance Oil ($198 from Cult Beauty), which contains a rich blend of fourteen, fast-absorbing seed oils for years. The lightweight formula smooths texture and fine lines and layers easily under a moisturiser.
Although Smith hasn't shared her favourite cleanser with her fans, in past TikTok videos about her eczema she has washed her face with a damp cloth, so we're assuming she sticks to an especially gentle formula.
"I've been dealing with eczema my entire life, but it's gotten really bad over the last three years," she told Vogue. "I need products that are super hydrating and soothing, and [Biossance Squalane + Ectoin Overnight Rescue Ultra-Rich Cream] ($117 from Sephora) [is] exactly that."
"It also doesn't have fragrance, so that's always a plus for me, [and] a little definitely goes a long way," she went on to say.
The rich formula contains a blend of moisture-replenishing squalane and bio-fermented ectoin, and reparative magnesium and peptides.
Although True Botanicals Radiance Oil ($198 from Cult Beauty) and Biossance Squalane + Ectoin Overnight Rescue Ultra-Rich Cream ($117 from Sephora) are her ride or dies, she has been known to layer a serum underneath them when her skin needs it.
"Nara has really sensitive skin so she uses Clarins Double Serum ($130 from Adore Beauty) in the morning and evening every day," Nara's husband Lucky shared via TikTok. "This is liquid gold that's like a multivitamin for her skin. Clarins Double Serum targets fine lines, improves firmness and provides increased long lasting hydration."
Her SPF of choice when she does choose to apply? The SUMMER FRIDAYS ShadeDrops Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Mineral Milk Sunscreen ($57.02 from Cult Beauty). "This sunscreen. I cannot talk about it enough. It's so good," Smith gushed via TikTok.
It contains a blend of squalane and vitamin E, and boasts a sheer, luminous 'lit-from-within-glow' finish, setting the stage for her any cosmetics she chooses to apply on top of her skin care.
And unsurprisingly, her makeup routine shares the same principle as her stripped back skin care routine — less is more.
"When it comes to makeup, I cover up my dark circles, because I'm a mum — I don't sleep — so they need to go in the morning. And a good blush moment. Those are my two key things — concealer and blush," she told Vogue. "Then I do like a darker lip, like a brown liner with a little bit of red in the middle, and then a gloss over [the top]."

Nara Smith isn't the only celebrity who favours a pared back approach to makeup. But, unlike Smith, Elizabeth Olsen's skin care routine isn't quite as straightforward.
