Martha Hunt just showed us the *prettiest* red carpet hairstyle
And it's absolutely wearable IRL
One of our fave Victoria’s Secret Angels (and endless sources of beauty inspo), Martha Hunt stepped out at The Fragrance Foundation Awards yesterday at the Lincoln Center in New York City looking all kinds of stunning.
Just take a look for yourself.
Just wow. This gal never fails to amaze when it comes to red carpet appearances.
But our favourite part of her beauty look was best seen from the back.
That has to be one of the dreamiest ponytails we’ve seen. Who knew that a simple hairstyle could look so chic?
The textured finish gives Martha’s hair an effortless feel, yet her glamorous low ponytail and hair-wrapped band scream ‘red carpet queen’.
We also love that a few loose little fly-aways have been left alone to do their thing, adding to the undone vibe – can this be a new thing? ‘Cause we’re taking this as a cue to not bother trying to tame ours either!
Yep, we’re totally in love.
Martha’s hairstylist Owen Gould revealed that he used Hidden Crown hair extensions to give Martha’s pony some extra length and volume to play with. We also think a faux ponytail like this one from Showpony Professional would be perfect for recreating the look.
And if you’d like to try this exact hairstyle for yourself, we’ve got some advice…
You’ll first want to part your hair in the centre and curl it with a wide barrelled tong. Once your curls have cooled, gently comb them out with your fingers and give your hair a decent misting with a texturing spray like Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray.
Secure a low ponytail at the back of your head then slide the end of a tail comb under the secured portions of hair and gently lift to loosen the look. This will give your hair that lived-in vibe like Martha.
If you’re working with a ponytail extension, now is the time to add this.
Next, take a small section of your ponytail and wrap it around the elastic to disguise your hair tie. To secure the section, spray it with some strong hold hairspray and then hit it with a hairdryer to set. No bobby pins needed - magic!
To finish, lightly tousle your ponytail until you’re satisfied with the way it’s sitting before spraying your look with hairspray for longevity.
And that’s it, you’re good to go!
