The product and steps to create the model’s dewy, natural glow
There’s so much to love about Shanina Shaik, including (but not limited to) her down-to-earth Aussie nature, her stunning natural beauty, and her incredible modelling career – which includes being the fifth Australian to ever walk in the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, closing Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia at the finale show, recently becoming the face of Seafolly’s latest swimwear campaign, and starring in one of the three August covers as part of marie claire’s rising star series alongside Ruby Rose and Elizabeth Debicki.
Since we can’t get enough of the Australian model and her effortless beauty, we asked Kellie Stratton, her makeup artist from the marie claire August cover shoot for a step-by-step guide to recreating her look.
1
Prime your face
Apply Estée Lauder Genuine Glow Priming Moisture Balm all over your face and Estée Lauder Genuine Glow Priming Moisture Eye Balm on your lids.
2
Apply eyeshadow
Using Bobbi Brown Sandy Gold Cream Shadow, apply with a fluffy brush softly over the lid and blend to create a soft wash of colour.
3
Add definition
Using the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Scotch, push the product into the top and bottom lash lines, blending with a small brush as you go for soft definition.
4
Curl and coat your lashes
Curl your lashes then add two coats of Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara in Black to the top lashes, combing them out with each application.
5
Fill in your brows
Fill in brows lightly where needed with Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Long-Wear Brow Pencil.
6
Apply foundation
Apply Bobbi Brown Skin Nourishing Glow Foundation with a foundation brush over your face and neck, taking care to really blend the product out so it looks like a second skin.
7
Add a flush of colour
Blend Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks in Fresh Melon over the cheekbones to achieve a ‘lit from within’ glow.
8
Condition and line your lips
For the lips, smooth the surface with Estée Lauder Lip Conditioner then follow with Bobbi Brown Art Stick in Bare for a nude lip look.
