Over the years, Katy Perry was become the queen of quirky beauty. Beyond sporting hair looks from every shade of the colour spectrum (some wigs, some the real deal), there’s been those unusual lipstick choices (think: lilac and black), and overall bold and dramatic makeup.
And while we love that the popstar isn’t one to shy away from fun, daring and unconventional beauty, we’ve noticed Katy Perry’s been showing up to red carpet events with some pretty glam makeup looks lately, and this one from the iHeart Radio Awards has fast become one of our favourites. The combination of her bold, defined brows, golden-and-bronze smoky eyes, and neutral demi-matte lips with flawless glowing skin is a look that you could pull out time and time again to wow.
Here’s how to copy Katy Perry’s iHeart Radio makeup look using a few key COVERGIRL products:

Create a smooth base
It’s no secret that Katy Perry has suffered from problematic skin in the past, but her skin looks velvety smooth and glowing here. Define your brows
To give your eyebrows natural definition that doesn’t look too harsh, use a powder formulation and a light hand – the trick is slowly build your definition. To keep your brow look as natural as Katy Perry’s, avoid squaring off your brow in the centre – rather, leave this area a little softly curved and fluffy.

Add shimmer and smoke to your eyes
Break out your browns, golds and bronzes for this eye makeup look! Or, find them all in a handy palette like COVERGIRL Eye Shadow Quad in Go For Golds. Start your base with your shimmering bronze colour, sweeping the shade across your entire lid with a loose eyeshadow brush. Then, using a dense eyeshadow brush, take your brown colour and apply it across your lash line and to the outer corner of your eye. Use a loose brush to blend the colour at the outer corner and along your crease for a smoky, smudged effect. You can also use your dense eyeshadow brush to line your bottom lower lash line with your brown eyeshadow.
To copy Katy Perry’s golden finish, lightly dust gold eyeshadow across your lid and at the inner corner of your eye. Then, wet an angled eyeliner brush and dip it into your gold eyeshadow, applying the pigmented colour along your bottom waterline.

Line your eyes and lengthen your lashes

Start with a thin line at the inner corner of your eye, making it thicker as you make your way to the outer corner. Finish with a couple of coats of Katy Perry’s very own COVERGIRL Katy Kat Mascara to make your lashes look fuller, thicker, and more voluminous.

Enhance your cheekbones
Katy Perry’s look proves you don’t have to do the full-on Kardashian-esque contour to give your cheeks some extra shape. Use a loose angled powder brush to sweep COVERGIRL TRUblend Bronzer just below your cheekbones to bring out your angles and add some warmth to your complexion.

Finish with your lips
Thanks to the versatility of this eye makeup look, there are so many ways you can finish off this look.
