When it comes to celebrities who have mastered glamorous makeup looks that ooze sophistication, Emma Stone is up there with the best of the best. Her latest look that has us oohing and ahhing here in the Beauty Crew office is this stunningly feminine makeup look that the actress wore at this year’s Golden Globe Awards.
Lucky for us, in an exclusive interview with Emma’s makeup artist, Rachel Goodwin, shared the exact products and steps needed for you to recreate the look for yourself at home.

Start with the eyes
It’s the age-old debate: what do you apply first, your base or eye makeup?
In this case Goodwin started with the eyes “because I like it [base makeup] to be on the face for the least amount of time possible,” she explained. Additionally, applying eye makeup first will limit the possibility of shadow fallout from ruining your foundation job. Noted!
To create Emma’s soft pink eye makeup, Goodwin “covered the entire eyelid in NARS Andromeda Dual Intensity Eyeshadow. Then, I wet my brush and blended NARS Kari Dual Intensity Eyeshadow from the crease of Emma’s eye up to the brow bone”. To finish off her eye makeup, Goodwin “used NARS Earthshine Hardwired Eyeshadow in the inner corner of the eye to give it that ethereal effect.” If you’re looking for an alternative to the NARS shadow, your usual powder highlighter will work wonders as an inner corner highlight.

Prep your base
Goodwin opted to keep the base makeup light to tie in with Emma’s soft eye look. First, Goodwin prepped her skin with moisturiser before applying NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint all over.

Add a radiant glow
A rosy blush was then applied to the apples of Emma’s cheeks to add a healthy looking pop of colour. To ensure you choose the right blush shade for your skin tone, Goodwin's top tip is to “use your inner wrist as a guideline to determine your specific undertone.” Generally however, paler skin tones will have rosy or warm undertones. If you’re looking to try out a new rosy blush, we recommend Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat or NYX Powder Blush in Dusty Rose.

Finish with the lips
A combination of lip products were used to complete Emma’s look: Goodwin paired “the soft berry hue of NARS El Agua Velvet Lip Liner with NARS Rosecliff Lipstick to create a soft pink look. To finish it off, I added NARS Istria Lip Gloss to give the lips a lighter and more sheer quality”. We'd also recommend trying Rimmel London moisture Renew Lipstick in Vintage for a creamy rose finish that will leave lips conditioned and soft.
