This new highlighter palette will change the way you strobe
It’s six unconventional shades of moonlit radiance
For the past few years one of the biggest makeup trends seen all around the world has been highlighting. And Anastasia Beverly Hills has arguably been one of the most popular makeup brands on the forefront of that trend with the company often releasing new additions to their range of intensely pigmented and shimmery Glow Kits.
It’s no surprise then that the newest Glow Kit to launch has caused a frenzy in the beauty world, however this newest release is possibly the brand’s most exciting highlighter palette to date. And one that is set to change the way you highlight.
The new Moon Child palette features six unexpected iridescent powder shades that range from blue to pink, green and purple. Anastasia herself says each colour is designed to deliver a “celestial finish” on the skin, and after one look at the swatches of these shades, it looks like she nailed it.
‘Blue Ice’ is a milky shade with flecks of blue shimmer that transforms into a glowing periwinkle colour when applied. ‘Star’ and ‘ Blue Moon’ appear to be very different colours in the pan however, when swatched they both cast an icy silver colour on the skin (although ‘Blue Moon’ unsurprisingly has a slightly bluer undertone).
‘Purple Horseshoe’ is the darkest shade in the palette, leaving an intense lavender glow and ‘Pink Heart’ is probably the most wearable hue as it’s orangey-pink colour adds warmth to the cheeks. The final shade, ‘Lucky Clover’ is deceptively white pre-application but transforms into a bright green shade with a canary yellow diamond reflect upon application.
The palette, which retails for US$40 (about AUD$52) is undeniably stunning to look at, and is perfect for those gutsy enough to experiment with highlighting the unconventional shades. While it’s not yet available at Sephora in Australia, it can be purchased from Anastasia Beverly Hills online and delivered to Australia.
