Lily-Rose Depp’s Chanel No.5 L’Eau campaign is here
Chanel No.5 is one of the most famous scents in the world, so it makes sense that the face of the fragrance is a highly coveted gig to land. Celebrity royalty and up-and-coming model Lily-Rose Depp has been given the honour of fronting the campaign for its new fragrance Chanel No. 5 L’Eau.
The 17-year-old was announced as the face of the fragrance back in May in a dreamy rose-filled Instagram by Chanel with the caption, “The Rose of all Roses”. The announcement was followed by Lily-Rose’s gushing thanks on her own account. “Thank you so much to the entire Chanel team for this incredible honor!!” she posted. Following the launch this week, we’ve finally been able to gawk over the finished product, and we love the sleek and bright campaign that’s been released.
As for the scent, perfumer Olivier Polge created Chanel No.5 L’Eau as an exciting next step of the classic perfume. “No. 5 L’Eau is not a cologne. Nor is it a diluted version of the original fragrance for, at Chanel, each variation is a genuine olfactory creation. No.5 L’Eau is the No.5 of today,” he said in a statement.
Since the announcement that Lily-Rose would be the face of this new fragrance, she has walked in the casino-themed Chanel couture show, and has been seen donning outfits by the brand at recent events, accompanied by Karl Lagerfeld. "Lily-Rose is stunning, she's a young girl from a new generation with all the qualities of a star," Lagerfeld said of Lily-Rose and her new appointment.
