When: 1983
BMX Bandits, assemble! Before de-frizzing products and flat irons were a thing, Nicole embraced her naturally curly hair – which, by the way, is absolute hair goals. Some people can only dream of volume like that! At 16, the star looks fresh-faced and youthful.

When: 1989
With her striking blue eyes, Nicole stood out as she become one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars. She entered the ‘90s with those glorious curls on full display, looking every bit a natural beauty, with gorgeous freckles smattered across her nose and cheeks.

When: 1990
Now married to fellow actor Tom Cruise (they were co-stars on the set of Days of Thunder), Nicole stepped away from her trademark fluffy curls. She showed off a more polished and structured style, pulling her hair back to highlight her killer jawline.

Oh hello, headband! Going back to her blonde roots (yep, Nicole isn’t actually a redhead!), the actress began sporting sleeker hair and some trendy bangs. It looks like she’s not even wearing a slick of makeup walking down the red carpet, yet she looks utterly gorgeous. Sigh.

Looking as stunning as ever, Nicole shows off her goal-worthy features (we can’t ever get over those cheekbones!), her glossy lips and straight hair. She’s showing off some smile lines around her eyes, but has an otherwise smooth complexion.

At 33-years-old, Nicole took on the noughties with her iconic porcelain complexion, a metallic lipstick (everyone owned one of these bad boys back in the day), and her strawberry-blonde hair worn in a high ponytail. At this point everything still looks pretty au naturel, however her face is noticeably slimmer.

Celebrating the premiere of Baz Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge, Nicole swept her hair back into a high ponytail and opted for a pared-back makeup look with a pink lip. We love how her frown lines make her look natural and fresh.

Taking to the Golden Globes red carpet with light blonde hair, the 36-year-old star appears to be completely wrinkle-free, minus a few creases on her nose (also known as 'bunny lines').

Sometime around 2006 (after marrying country singer Keith Urban) Nicole’s face started looking a little fuller than usual. When the star walked the red carpet for Happy Feet, she not only showed off a new fringe and lighter hair, her lips, cheeks and chin appeared plumper than years prior.

Nicole shut down plastic surgery rumours in 2007, telling marie claire her appearance was “completely natural”. The Oscar-winner attributed her youthful looks to following a healthy diet, holistic beauty routine and wearing sunscreen every day. "I have nothing in my face or anything. I wear sunscreen, and I don't smoke. I take care of myself. And I'm very proud to say that."

With an almost line-free complexion, plump cheeks and incredibly smooth skin, Nicole looked like an absolute bombshell at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Annual Installation Luncheon (around the same time Rabbit Hole hit the box office). Saying goodbye to her blonde shade, her flaming red hair contrasts perfectly against her smooth porcelain skin.

At the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, the 46-year-old looked as amazing as ever with her angular features and perfect skin. Interestingly, it was at this time she again addressed the plastic surgery rumours, telling the Italian newspaper La Repubblica that she tried cosmetic injectables, but regretted doing so. She called the decision to get injections an “unfortunate move,” and added, “I got out of it and now I can finally move my face again.”

When: 2016
Nicole is 49-years-old here and still looks utterly stunning and youthful, so it’s no wonder the plastic surgery rumours persisted. On the 22nd Annual Choice Awards red carpet, her facial features look a little different, with her eyebrows appearing lifted and her eyes looking a little smaller.

The star recently attended the premiere of her new movie Destroyer, and fans couldn’t help but notice that the 52-year-old has a bizarrely youthful appearance. Her face appears tight and smooth with frown lines.
