The essential three steps you need to follow to wake up beautiful
The essential three steps you need to follow to wake up beautiful
If you’ve been burning the candle at both ends, the thought of an extensive nighttime routine is too much to bear. We’ve got you covered. This basic skin care routine is fast and efficient... so no excuses.
1
Removal is key
Makeup removal is your first port of call. Sleeping with makeup on inhibits skin from breathing. Skin cells also renew overnight and products are deeply absorbed, so it’s important, at the very least, to remove any traces of the day before hitting the pillow. We recommend Sukin Micellar Cleansing Water or Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes with Aqua-Lock.
2
Tone up
Applying an alcohol-free toner on skin after cleansing helps to tighten pores and improve circulation in the skin (toners containing alcohol can be very drying and irritating on skin). These aid in restoring the skin’s natural pH levels and also improves the effectiveness of moisturisers and serums. Apply after cleansing and leave to dry naturally. Try Antipodes Ananda Antioxidant-Rich Gentle Toner.
3
Nourish skin
Moisture is key to waking with healthy-looking skin, and will also help to achieve optimal skin cell repair overnight. Choose your nightly cream wisely to simplify your routine, minimising steps and products. A moisturiser rich in antioxidants and a site-specific eye cream will help you wake with plump, dewy skin. Try Caudalie Resveratrol Night Infusion Cream and Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Moisturizing Eye Cream.
