Jeffree Star is launching his own skin care line
Following a fallout with fellow YouTube stars Tati Westbrook and James Charles, and most recently being dropped by Morphe Cosmetics, Jeffree Star’s 2020 has been dubbed ‘karmageddon’ by the Internet masses.
But, not one to be deterred by drama or ‘cancel culture’, Jeffree has come back fighting.
The beauty mogul of YouTube fame has announced via Twitter that he will be extending the Jeffree Star Cosmetics family with the addition of a much-anticipated skin care line set to launch next year.
“Today we're having a huge product development meeting for the iconic Jeffree Star Skin Care line launching in 2021!” he wrote.
The post was met with mixed responses from followers, with one writing “He's really acting like nothing happened?”.
With controversy and Jeffree often going hand-in-hand, the launch will certainly be one to watch. Here’s everything we know so far:
Will Jeffree Star Skin Care be available in Australia?
It’s still early days, and currently there has been no confirmation as to whether the skin care line will be made available downunder. But if it is, no doubt we’ll see it stocked at the same retailers as his cosmetics line available direct for purchase directly from the Jeffree Star Cosmetics website (with shipping) or via Princess Polly.
What products will Jeffree Star Skin Care have?
Jeffree has been tight-lipped about what we can expect from the launch product-wise but we’re hoping for a tight 3-step routine that features staples like a cleanser, toner and moisturiser to start. However, knowing Jeffree and his expensive tastes (the man does have a penchant for all things La Mer) we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a wildly overpriced magic serum that does everything including our taxes for us.
What will Jeffree Star Skin Care look like?
Jeffree’s cosmetics line has come to be known for its iconic shade of hot pink. However, Jeffree’s style has evolved so much since the launch of his makeup brand, it’ll be interesting to see if he sticks with the same bold colour palette for his skin care line or take a more refined and elevated approach.
Only time will tell what Jeffree has in store for this exciting collection, but in the meantime we’ll be keeping our ears planted firmly to the ground for any updates.
Jeffrey’s not the only one to make a foray into the world of skin care. FentySkin is officially a thing.
