Beauty lovers are going to be very happy with Instagram's latest update

There are endless reasons we love the photo-sharing app, Instagram – from procrastinating our lives away with all the hair and beauty inspo we could ever need, to finding new exercises and motivation to help us reach our fitness goals. But the app we have come to love is about to get even better. 

According to Bloomberg Technology, Instagram is expanding its consumer uses. To put it simply, this means that you will soon be able to book a haircut directly from the Instagram profile of your favourite hairdresser, or schedule an appointment with a makeup artist, nail salon or facialist all while you’re doing your social media check-in over breakfast.

This new Instagram feature is set to be rolled out in coming months and we can’t wait. Instagram’s Head of Business, James Quarles explains that this feature will allow consumers to be even more active than ever before: “When someone books an appointment, that’s not a ‘like’ or a ‘follow’, that’s actual action,” he said, with Bloomberg adding that Instagram may eventually add more tools that allow the user to review the businesses and services they use.
