Tips for choosing the right shade of brow product
Pro tips for picking the right pencil or powder to match your hair
Match your hair colour to your brow pencil
When it comes to filling in your brows, you no doubt reach for a product in the same colour family as your hair: be it brown, blonde or red. But to get the perfect match, you need to be pickier than simply reaching for a close-enough shade. Hannah Terrett, Benefit Australia’s National Brow Artist reveals her expert tips for how to choose the right hue for you.
1
Brunettes
“Golden browns work on warm brunettes; cool brunettes can add a deeper tone with a chocolate base,” advises Terrett.
2
Blondes
“An ash undertone flatters cooler blondes,” explains Terrett. “A caramel base gives warmer blondes some vibrancy.”
3
Redheads
“Warm reds suit strawberry blondes, while cool reds look great on auburn reds,” says Terrett.
