Ashley Benson's go-to smokey eye is super easy to recreate

Ashley Benson has had the luxury of spending the majority of her makeup-wearing life in the hands of professionals. But as it turns out, the actress is actually pretty damn good at beating her own face. Not to mention her go-to glam eye look is so easy to recreate, it almost seems too good to be true.

Sharing the quick process on Vogue’s YouTube series Beauty Secrets, Ashley said she’s recently been using the Dior Backstage Eye Palette in 0001 Warm Neutrals, but isn’t fussy when it comes to brands. “This is the kind of natural palette I use on an everyday basis.”

She starts with a deep taupe shade that she runs all over the lid, making sure to keep the saturation of colour in the centre, and then blending outwards and upwards towards the brow bone.

“I never use a brush, I almost always use my fingers. I feel like it’s easier to apply that way,” she said.

She then takes a darker brown shade along the outer edges of the upper and lower lash lines to intensify and smoke out the look. “I prefer more of a messier look to a polished one - it’s just more my personality.”

Ashley then confessed she’s not that great with eyeliner, “it’s kind of a hit or miss for me,” but she doesn’t mind if it ends up looking a little messy, haphazardly running a brown pencil along her upper lash line, followed up by a few coats of mascara.
