It may be time to say goodbye to pastel hair
Major trend alert! Rita Ora just stepped out with bright orange locks - and her bold new ‘do is giving us some major hair makeover inspiration.
While the singer is a total hair chameleon, this latest look isn’t an easy colour to pull off – yet she nails it with ease.
Ditching her long blonde locks for a wild red-and-orange hybrid, the star arrived at the Trevor Project Gala in New York looking bold, bright and *unbelievably* cool.
While Rita officially unveiled her look on Instagram last week, this is her first red carpet appearance to show off her new hue.
Although the pastel hair trend has been HUGE in recent years (just look here, here and here), Rita’s new hair colour is making us think that vibrant and neon colours could be the new thing. And we are ready to jump on board.
Rita’s previous blonde locks accentuated her soft and feminine features – which we loved, but now this daring hair colour has completely overhauled her entire look and we’re loving the instant transformation. Teamed with some fresh choppy layers, her new hue gives off some serious grungy, rock chic vibes. She is seriously oozing a new level of cool and we want in.
We think this killer cut and colour combo works perfectly with a more undone, bedhead hairstyle – meaning less styling required. Win!
Celebrity hairstylist Alisha Dobson was responsible for this fiery shoulder-length ‘do, writing on her Instagram: "Shaggy layers and tangerine dream mix for @ritaora #summerswitchup"
