All eyes were on our social media yesterday as we watched the 2022 Met Gala red carpet unfold, bringing with it an abundance of glitz and glamour as promised.
From Kim Kardashian’s Marilyn Monroe moment to Teyana Taylor’s electric purple eye-nails-dress combo, the event certainly didn’t disappoint when it came to show-stopping beauty looks (although we certainly did miss RiRi).
And if there was one look that caught our attention right from the get-go, it was Emma Chamberlain’s stunning take on the ‘Gilded Glamour’ theme.
The internet’s golden girl wowed with a bleached blonde bob, dewy complexion and metallic smouldering eye, courtesy of makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan. So obviously we stalked Deenihan’s Insta (@kdeenihan) to find out how to recreate the look ourselves – and luckily she had listed every product in Chamberlain’s skin care and makeup routine for the day.
“Her look is kind of a rosy burnished eye with a pop of gold to go with the Gilded look,” Deenihan told Stylecaster. “Once we knew what she was wearing, once we had the intel that she was going icy blonde with her hair, we wanted to add colour on her eyes and face.”
As it turns out, you can achieve Chamberlain’s glowing complexion with just three products.
She prepped her skin with the CeraVe Hydrating Toner, CeraVe Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion with Sunscreen ($32.95 at SkinCare Australia)and CeraVe Eye Repair Cream ($18.99 at Chemist Warehouse).
Channelling a bronzed glamour queen aesthetic, Deenihan opted for a range of BareMinerals products, including the coveted Maximist Mascara and Well-Rested Under-Eye Brightening Powder. Whilst you may not be able to find these two products in stock in Aus, here are the rest of the essentials you need to perfect Emma Chamberlain’s look.
