This is what Emily Ratajkowski eats every day

Emily Ratajkowski Diet & Exercise Plan

You won’t believe what she indulges in for breakfast

Beauty Crew Contributing Editor / June 26 2019

Black coffee, sweets and pizza. Emily Ratajkowski’s diet is not what you’d expect from someone with a killer bod like hers. And yet, one scroll of her Instagram feed and all you see is envious abs, a toned butt and a flawless physique from head to toe.

Otherwise known by her Instagram handle @emrata, the model, actress, and face/body of her own swimwear and lingerie label, Inamorata, has a body that’s almost as famous as her gorgeous face (those lips! Her long hair! Her beautiful brows!). And yet, she doesn’t follow a conventional diet like most models. Or exercise routine, for that matter.

We did some digging and this is what we found out about Emily Ratajkowski’s diet and exercise plan.

Emily Ratajkowski’s diet

While models like Gisele Bündchen and Bridget Malcolm prefer plant-based and vegan diets respectively, Em Rata focuses more on a balanced diet than a restricted one, although she admitted on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that she *loves* to eat. And we’re not talking smoothies and salads. “I'm a carnivore. I really like to eat meat. I crave iron...I like to keep it really balanced to give my body energy and also be healthy,” she told Elle US in an interview.

Here’s a snapshot of what Emily Ratajkowski’s day on a plate looks like:

Breakfast

For breakfast, she told Vogue US during a '73 questions with...' video that she generally has “black coffee, granola, yoghurt, maybe toast”. Although pastries are her "kryptonite". “Every day I go to Blacktop Coffee [in L.A.] and get this pastry called kouign-amann with my black coffee. I always pretend that I don't know what I'm getting. I'm like, ‘Um, hmm, I guess I'll get … a kouign-amann?’ They're like, ‘Uh-huh’," she shared with Harper’s Bazaar US.

Morning tea

When it comes to snacks, it could go either way: sometimes it’s something healthy like a juice, or it's completely indulgent with a sugary treat. “For me, it’s about feeling good about what you eat. I do love turmeric and beet juices. It’s so L.A., you can’t avoid it,” she told The New York Times. But she also admitted to Elle US, “I wouldn't say I am the type of girl who craves Doritos but I definitely love a good cupcake sometimes”.

Lunch

As for lunch, she tends to eat a hearty salad (with protein!) or a sandwich.

Dinner

“I never eat at home. Dinner is my time to be social and catch up with people,” she told Harper’s Bazaar US. Sushi, Thai, Indian, Italian...she loves it all. “I love this Italian restaurant downtown called Bestia. It's kind of fun, and they have good cocktails and wine. If I'm trying to be a little healthier, there's Café Gratitude downtown. There's amazing sushi at this tiny place called Mako in Little Tokyo. And I also love uni [sea urchins]. Anything with uni in it is great for me.”

Dessert

And that’s not it. There’s always room for dessert! “I really like sweets,” she told Vogue US, saying that dark chocolate or pumpkin cheesecake are two of her favourite desserts.

Just before bed, Emily says, “I chug water”.

Em Rata’s exercise plan

As if her diet wasn’t un-model-like enough, you’re also more likely to find Emily out and about in the great outdoors than you are sweating it out at the gym. “I don’t have a trainer, and I don’t really go to the gym. I go on long walks and hikes with my girlfriends. That’s about it. I’m just not a crazy fitness person. I’m definitely an outlier in the industry,” she told The New York Times. “And doing yoga a couple of times a week is a really big part of my regimen,” says Emily.
