Your fave skinfluencer is taking the reigns at *this* award-winning Aussie brand

Did someone say ‘dream role’?

Working for one of your most beloved beauty brands probably sounds like a lofty dream, right? Well, that’s exactly what’s on the cards for skinfluencer Roj Torabi (AKA @theroject), who’s ready to take on the reigns as Creative Director for multi-award-winning skin care brand (which happens to be one of her personal favourites), Dermal Therapy.

It’s a partnership that makes perfect sense, too - in fact, Torabi was a devoted customer and lover of the brand’s formulas long before she began working with them in her content creator career. But taking the step from consumer to Creative Director is no doubt a giant one, and one Torabi is thrilled to take on.

"Dermal Therapy is like your reliable bestie who never fails to come through—authentic, dependable, and trustworthy,” she shared re: her appointment. “I'm genuinely excited to take on this new role and eager to collaborate with the team to keep delivering unmatched science-driven skin care solutions.”

‘Dependable’ is definitely exactly what Dermal Therapy has proven itself to be time and time again, with Torabi first turning to the brand (and the skin care world as a whole) as a solution to adolescent acne, teaching herself the ins and outs of the industry as she went.

It was through this search for information (and solutions) that she became acquainted with Dermal Therapy’s plethora of clinically-proven formulations, discovering for herself just how well-deserved the brand’s many award wins have been over the years. Reliability is key in the beauty game, so it’s no surprise that the brand’s Lip Balm Original ($5.49 at Chemist Warehouse), a product as reliable as it is beloved, holds the title of the nation’s number-one-selling-lip-balm, with one sold every 15 seconds.

It’s these kinds of trustworthy products, paired with Torabi’s close connections with her audience (and the beauty world in general), that will up the ante for the brand even more moving into the future. “We couldn't be more thrilled to be partnering with the powerhouse that is Roj Torabi in 2024,” said Steven Sher, founder of Dermal Therapy and LaCorium Health. “As our Creative Director, [Torabi]'s expertise and passion will undoubtedly propel us to new heights, reinforcing our commitment to delivering unparalleled innovation and affordability in the skin care industry."

So what’s on Torabi’s plate within the role? Just about everything! In her new capacity, she will work closely with the team on everything from product development and campaign creative direction to brand consistency across all touchpoints, as well as an exciting design trip overseas.

After all, Dermal Therapy’s authenticity is what drew her in, and so it’s undoubtedly the key cornerstone she’ll keep beautifully intact while taking the brand (and our skin) to new strengths.
