Nicola Peltz Beckham & Dua Lipa just proved that chocolate nails are *the* winter manicure trend to try
Every year there's a new neutral nail and moody manicure trend to try. While the former is the perfect answer to a low maintenance summer nail look, the latter is always an undeniable winner come the cooler months (like last year's 'Cherry Mocha' nails trend) .
Earlier this year we were introduced to the summery 'Soap Nails' trend (AKA 2024's answer to the minimalist neutral manicure), and as the weather transitions into autumn and winter we're adopting a dark neutral — 'Chocolate' nails.
The rich, deep shade is reminiscent of a bittersweet block of 75 per cent cacao, and it's been worn by two of our favourite trend-setting celebrities already — Nicola Peltz Beckham and Dua Lipa.
Peltz Beckham donned the brown shade to sit front row at her mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham's, Fall 2024 Ready To Wear runway show at Paris Fashion Week. Dua Lipa, on the other hand, rocked up to the Brit awards and wrapped her warm chocolate manicured fingers around the trophy for 'Best Pop Act'.
The trend is adaptable depending on the undertone of your complexion, with cool and warm toned polish options abound; cool-toned chocolate nails draw inspiration from bitter, dark chocolate, while warm-toned options are imbued with rich reds that look good enough to eat.
