Racing season is here, and if you feel like it’s always a bit of a scramble to pull together a race-day-worthy beauty look, you’re probably just running low on some fresh inspo! The good news? We’ve got you covered!
Whether you’re heading to the races or prepping for a Cup Day lunch, we’ve brought together some of our favourite celebrity hair and makeup trends that’ll have you looking race-day ready.
Georgia Love
Derby Day
Georgia Love rocked up to Derby Day looking like utter perfection. She put all focus on her big blue eyes, wearing a voluminous pair of falsies, winged eyeliner and a brown smoky eye, teamed with a flawless matte complexion. Also, for all the short-haired girls out there, THIS is how you nail a textured bob!
Melbourne Cup
Back at it again with the lashes! And we can totally see why – they look AH-MAZING! Teamed with black winged liner on the upper lid and lower water line, bold brows, and crazy flawless skin, Georgia Love nailed her Cup Day makeup look. And can we just point out, her centre-parted ponytail/oversized black bow combo is the absolute jam.
Anna Heinrich
Derby Day
Anna Heinrich served us some major eye makeup inspo, blending a pinkish, burgundy hue on her lids and below her lash line. If you have green eyes, take note! This shade accentuated Anna’s eyes on a whole new level. She paired her outstanding makeup look with soft curls and a deep side part – perfect for the placement of that dazzling gold hair accessory!
Melbourne Cup
Anna Heinrich took to Melbourne Cup with an utterly glowing complexion, applying a pair of voluminous lashes and black liner on her waterline to enhance her eyes. She described her hairstyle as ‘wet weather hair’ on her Instagram Story - and we are SO on board with this texture! And yes, she is showing off *another* deep side part.
Elle Macpherson
Derby Day
Elle Macpherson let her gorgeous glossy blonde locks take centre stage, wearing her hair loose in those signature beachy waves (if you want to know how she masters this look, find out here). She kept her makeup minimal and instead rocked a pair of stylish oversized sunnies. So. Damn. Cool.
Rebecca Judd
Derby Day
Rebecca Judd took her cues from Anna Heinrich, wearing her blonde wavy locks in a deep side part, too. This hairstyle is trending for good reason - it’s hands down the easiest way to switch up your entire look, PLUS it allows you to show off a glitzy headpiece. On the makeup front, Bec wore a matte base, contoured cheeks, a light brown smoky eye and we think we can spot a sharp cat eye, too!
Jennifer Hawkins
Derby Day
Jennifer Hawkins looked like an absolute dream and we wouldn’t expect anything less. Her luminous glowing skin stole the Derby Day show, while her blonde wavy locks looked both effortless and chic.
Elyse Knowles
Melbourne Cup
Elyse Knowles’ whole Cup Day vibe was right on point. From her perfectly tousled blonde locks (do we spy another deep side part?!) to her killer liner and smoky eye combo, we’re totally sold!
Lara Worthington
Melbourne Cup
Lara Worthington opted for a super chic updo, tying her locks back in a messy bun with tendrils framing her face (side note: how cute is her black beret!). She kept her makeup look minimal and fresh, with glowing skin and a pinky-nude lip.
Megan Gale
Melbourne Cup
Megan style her glossy brunette hair in soft waves, showing off contoured cheekbones and an out-of-this-world glow. Seriously, what highlighter is she using?! Because we need it in our lives, STAT.
Oaks Day
That hair! Megan Gale showed off the ‘do of our dreams at Oaks Day. Her brunette locks were teased at the crown to add an extra oomph of volume for her golden headpiece to sit atop.
Ellie Gonsalves
Melbourne Cup
Ellie Gonsalves kept the focus on her uber dewy complexion and stunning features by throwing her hair up in a sleek, high topknot. She added a touch of colour to her look by applying winged-out burgundy eyeshadow.
Rachael Finch
Melbourne Cup
Rachael Finch looked like a bronzed goddess at the Melbourne Cup, showing off contoured cheeks and a shimmery gold and brown colour combo on her lids. She wore her hair parted in the centre with soft waves through the ends. Yep, 10/10.
Derby Day
Rachael also looked extra glam at the Derby Day races, opting for a slick low bun parted in the middle, allowing her to show off that *stunning* headpiece. For her makeup, she went for a rose gold eyeshadow and matte red lips – it may sound like an unusual combo, but Rachael proves it’s a thing!
Oaks Day
Just wing it! Rachael Finch took to Instagram to share another killer race day look, saying her inspo came straight from her mum. She wrote, “Inspired by my Mum in her 20s!” The model wore a brown smoky eye, which was blended over the crease of her eye and out towards her brow bone, as well as the sharpest of cat eye wings we ever did see. Her brows were brushed up, perfectly framing her entire eye look.
Sofia Richie
Derby Day
Sofia Richie showed up to Derby Day wearing her hair in a sleek low bun, making room for an impressive headpiece. Her matte complexion, soft rosy cheeks and pink glossy lips combo looked equal parts fresh and feminine.
Sam Frost
The Everest
Sam Frost showed off the dreamiest eye makeup look at The Everest race day, wearing a smoked-out purple eye that perfectly complemented her blue eyes. Her hair was parted at the side in a super slick low bun, allowing her stunning makeup game to do its thing!
Elyse Taylor
Oaks Day
Elyse Taylor looked pretty in pink, wearing her glossy blonde hair loose and tucked behind her ears. Her brown smoky eye worked to enhance her eyes, while the glossy pink lip complemented her outfit, bringing her entire look together.
