The exact lip layering look Camila Mendes wears in 'Do Revenge'
The only thing in new Netflix hit Do Revenge more iconic than Sophie Turner's hilarious cameo (and that plot twist) was Camila Mendes' character Drea Torres' makeup. Okay, fine, maybe it goes Turner, the twist, Oscar-winner Olivia Colman (Eleanor's bearded dragon; IYKYK), and then Torres' glam looks. But there was tough 'icon' competition in this movie, okay?! It's a fabulously twisted rom-com for the ages.
Okay, back to the glam. Though the butterfly clips, emerald eyeshadow and devil red eyeliner were all standouts, it was Torres' take on the nude lip that had us itching to try her aesthetic IRL. Neutrals have never looked so luscious! And now we know the exact identities of the lip products used to create the magic.
A blessing too, considering most of the comments on the makeup team's page are along the lines of this one: "I’m obsessed with this lip color 😍 Please share!!"

According to TikTok creator @catquinn, Do Revenge's makeup department head Ellen Arden layered the M.A.C lip pencils in Cork, Stripdown and Spice ($32 each at M.A.C) before topping with Clear Lipglass ($35 at M.A.C) to build a '90s lip with as much dimension and shine as possible.
Mission accomplished; making any lip combo stand out amongst the sea of immaculate outfits the character was sporting was no doubt a challenge, and the makeup team nailed it.
Of course, the lipstick became somewhat of a character in the movie, too; the sippy cup scene was both satisfying (you deserve all of that and worse, Max Broussard) and offputting; brown lip gloss and straws aren't exactly a match made in heaven. But hey, the mess reflected the mania!

Is Torres' signature shade combo a must-try? Obviously. But in her own life, Mendes admits she prefers a nude lip on the more natural side. The actress revealed in ELLE's Beauty School series that her personal daily lip look tends to be a quick coat of Giorgio Armani Lip Power Lipstick in 109 Intimate ($66 at Giorgio Armani).
So whether you're down for glimmering gloss or a long-wear satin matte, there's a Mendes-approved option for you.
