Beyoncé just showed off the *coolest* two-toned hairstyle
Her dark hair is back! Well, kind of
After switching up her trademark honeyed caramel tones for a platinum blonde hairstyle earlier this year, Beyoncé has just showed off her most recent hair transformation – and guys, she looks so ridiculously cool.
While ripping it up on stage for the Global Citizen Festival in honour of Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday in Johannesburg, South Africa, the singer showed off her noticeably darker locks.
While the star is well known for switching between varying shades of blonde and caramel tones, this would have to be the first time we’ve seen her with darker hair in, like, ages.
But, they’re not just any plain ol’ dark locks.
Notice something? The star has actually kept her front strands a few shades lighter, rocking a kind of two-toned hairstyle that contrasts against her new darker-looking strands.
Did someone say new hair trend?!
The whole look is courtesy of Bey’s go-to hairstylist Neil Farinah (he’s been colouring Queen Bey’s hair for six years), who posted a photo of the singer with the caption, “THIS DARK CHOCOLATE BROW HAIR: PERFECTION.”
Yep, he isn’t wrong.
If you’re looking to shake up your hair game, this nifty colouring technique could be an easy way to change up darker locks without going the whole hog and dying your entire head of hair lighter (because going blonde can be intense, just ask Hilary Duff). We reckon Bey’s freshly coloured two-toned hairstyle looks creative, fun, yet still pretty natural.
On a side note, Jay-Z’s ‘do was pretty cool too:
