All the best beauty looks to come out of quarantine
If there has been one silver lining to quarantine it’s the beauty looks that have been flooding our feeds. Celebrities and makeup artists alike have been expressing their creative flair through the medium of makeup and honestly, we love to see it. Here are our favourite looks to come out of quarantine:
Elle Fanning
Elle Fanning’s red carpet style is usually very feminine with a retro flair, so seeing the young star switch it up is really interesting. The actress went for a monochromatic block liner and geisha-style lip combo in a daringly bold shade of red.
Marc Jacobs
The fashion designer made a rock and roll statement with a blue glitter lid and smokey black wing, which he complemented with a string of pearls and his best blue steel face.
Bella Hadid
Dior model and ambassador Bella Hadid must receive an enviable amount of Dior makeup to play with. The model used the brand’s latest products to create a bronzed, gloss and liner moment that looks like it could be worn down the runways of Milan. Did someone say Versace?
Tracee Ellis Ross
Never one to shy away from a statement look, Tracee Ellis Ross tried her hand at a bright and bold eye with impressive results. The Black-ish star combined a neon pink lid with orange accents, finishing it off with a burgundy lip. We also love that her skin looks flawless, but still looks like skin.
Katie Jane Hughes
Honestly, when is makeup artist Katie Jan Hughes *not* creating amazing new looks? Though the talented makeup artist usually paints the faces of celebs like Ashley Graham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, she also shares her knowledge with her followers, creating step-by-step instructions on how to recreate her masterpieces. This stunning blown out orange number is one of our recent favourites.
Lisa Eldridge
Lisa Eldridge has come through on the no-makeup makeup front: the makeup artist created this beautifully flattering, versatile and easy to recreate at home feline flick. Plus, she’s created a tutorial for the look that you can check out on her website.
Marcelo Guterrez
Yes. Yes. Yes. And Yes. This orange and gold glitter moment, complete with pink cheeks and faux freckles, was created by celeb makeup artist Marcelo Guterrez... and it is everything. That is all.
Looking to make a statement with your next beauty look? These neon negative space nails are it.

She loves the way seemingly innocuous topics like skin care and style have the ability to put a smile on people’s faces or make them think about themselves a little differently. A big believer in self love and experimentation, Briar has made a point of becoming the Australian beauty industry’s unofficial guinea pig for unusual treatments and daring hair trends. When she’s not testing out the latest beauty launches, Briar is big on broadening her horizons, mostly in the form of food but she’s also partial to travelling to new destinations both near and far (and of course, allocating an extra bag to bring their best beauty offerings home with her).
