We might only be two weeks into The Bachelor but it’s already clear Bella Varelis is a front-runner in the comp to win Locky Gilbert’s heart. Not only did the 25-year-old score the first solo date of the season (a sail and swim around Sydney Harbour), the couple shared a steamy kiss (while treading water, mind you.) Instant chemistry aside, there was one moment during their romantic day together we still can’t seem to get over.
Bella’s insane abs.
Exhibit A.
Exhibit B.
It’s little wonder that the digital marketing specialist is big on prioritising her healthy habits…
“Monday through to Friday I intermittent fast,” she explained in a recent interview with Body & Soul. “Every day begins with an almond latte and I start eating meals at about 11 am, which is usually an apple and berry cinnamon yoghurt bowl, topped with muesli. For lunch, I tend to make a salad such as a tofu Buddha bowl with a tamari peanut sauce made from natural peanut butter.”
Her go-to snacks are equally as delicious (dried mango, a piece of fruit, protein shake or dark choccie with herbal tea.
“Dinner is simple, something like a pesto green-pea-pasta,” she continued. “I also load up pretty much every dish with hemp, chia and flax seeds, and have about 2L of water a day.”
As well as regularly hitting up the infrared sauna (which Bella believes “works wonders for the soul”) she makes sure she stays active – even if it’s incidental.
“I walk every day for at least 30 minutes and mix my workouts between the Keep It Cleaner App and Reformer Pilates. Reformer Pilates is by far my favourite way to exercise,” she said.
Whatever you’re doing, it’s working Bella! Damn, the girl looks good.
