And we peeped this cult-favourite lip oil

Beauty Crew Beauty Editor / March 12 2024

Dior ambassador Anya Taylor Joy always brings an air of elegance to the red carpet and the 2024 Oscars was no exception to this rule.

The actress inevitably showcases all the best that Dior has to offer as a brand, which means we get to see her wear custom gowns when she's attending premieres and awards shows.

However, it also means her makeup artist Georgie Eisdell has the opportunity to show off all that Dior Beauty has to offer.

She reminds us why it is we love cult favourite products like the Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil in the first place, plus she introduces us to makeup and skin care we didn't even know existed.

Eisdell created a flawless canvas and accentuated Anya Taylor Joy's doe eyes and defined pout for the 96th Academy Awards using some Dior products we definitely recognised and others that piqued our interest.

The exact products Anya Taylor Joy wore on the Oscars red carpet

Complexion

Eisdell's ability to create a matte face of makeup that doesn't look heavy or cakey deserves to be studied. According to the makeup artist, she used the hydrating Capture Totale Dreamskin Skin Perfector
Capture Totale Hyalushot
($158 from Adore Beauty) and the Dior Forever Glow Veil Primer
($88 from Adore Beauty) to prep the skin. Then she applied the Dior Forever Glow Star Filter in '#1N' ($84 from Selfridges), which helps to blur, smooth, brighten and hydrate the complexion for a unified finish that doesn't look like makeup on the skin. Next, she concealed and colour corrected any darkness and blemishes using the Dior Forever Skin Correct in '#0N'
($74 from Adore Beauty) and mattified and set everything in place with the Dior Forever Cushion Powder in '#020 Light'
($105 from Adore Beauty).

Cheeks

Eisdell subtly defined Taylor Joy's cheekbones using a combination of the Dior Forever Natural Bronze In '#04 Tan Bronze' ($92 from Adore Beauty), Dior Rouge Blush In '#100 Nude Look' ($84 from Dior) and the Dior Rouge Blush In '#219 Rose Montaigne' ($84 from Dior). She applied the cheek products in an upward sweeping motion, deepening and accentuating the hollow of the actress' cheekbones.

Eyes

Eisdell created an intentionally angular eye look to complement the way she accentuated Taylor Joy's cheekbones using eyeshadow from the Dior Diorshow 5 Couleurs in '#743 Rose Tulle' ($120 from Sephora) and the Dior Diorshow On Stage Crayon in '#099 Black' ($50 from Adore Beauty). To finish, the makeup artist added a few coats of the Dior Diorshow Mascara in '#090 Black' ($62 from Dior)
to the actress' lashes and defined her tapered brows with the Dior Diorshow Brow Styler in '#03 Brown' ($57 from Adore Beauty).

Lips

Dior's lip products are some of our all-time favourite's so we got extra excited when we spotted two viral lip conditioning picks from the luxury brand; the Dior Addict Lip Glow Balm ($62 from Sephora) and the Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil in '#012 Rosewood' ($62 from Sephora). Eisdell prepped Taylor Joy's pout with the balm, defined her lip line with the Dior Rouge Dior Contour in '#100 Nude Look' ($51 from Adore Beauty), and layered the brand's famous lip oil over the top.

The makeup looks at the Oscars were elite this year. This is every single makeup product Emma Stone was wearing when she won her Oscar.
