Alicia Keys’ new ‘do is all the inspiration you need to go shorter

Umm, have you seen Alicia Keys’ new hair?! It’s serious short hair goals and it’s about to give you all the inspiration you need to head to the hairdresser and finally get the cut you’ve umm’d and ahh’d over for ages.

The singer recently posted a stunning snap on Instagram, showing off a new ear-grazing, asymmetrical ‘do - and we (along with 385,000+ others) are utterly OBSESSED. She left us hanging with no caption or context – just an enviable new hairstyle that’s giving us some major short hair inspo.

Unlike so many short hair cuts we’ve seen lately that favour a safe jawline-length, Alicia’s new hair is actually super short and we are loving the daring length. And did you notice she’s also sporting a bold red hue? This is one total bombshell hair transformation and she looks SO damn cool.

And fans were quick to give their tick of approval. One wrote, “I dunno what’s going on here, but I’m SUCH a fan.” While another wrote, “So fierce and elegant.” 

While the star is known for rocking her signature long braids or natural texture, her new cut and colour are a bold combo and completely different from anything we’ve ever seen from her – she almost looks unrecognsiable! 

Yet, she pulls this new short hair look off effortlessly - the style is sleek, edgy and fresh, and it simply just works. The short cut frames her face and the deep part accentuates those to-die-for cheekbones.
