We’re embracing brows with a bit of natural individuality in 2025
Choose your own adventure
Over the past five years we’ve been bombarded with extreme eyebrow trends.
We tried cartoonish, ombré arches, we plucked them pencil thin. We bleached our brows blonde, laminated them with a perming solution, and even drew on exaggerated tails to give our faces a lift without feeling the prick of a needle.
Now, with 2025 looming on the horizon, it seems that all that extremism has converged to create a happy medium, Anastasia Soare tells BEAUTYcrew.
The founder of Anastasia Beverly Hills predicts that the next 12 months will be marked by naturally enhanced eyebrows — however, whether that manifests as a fluffy, full brow or slender, manicured arches really depends on your brows’ true neutral.
“We’re definitely seeing a departure from the overly-sculpted, crisply defined brows that were having a moment not long ago,” Soare explains. “Recent brow trends are dominated by more natural details and finishes. We’re also seeing a drop off of semi-permanent brow makeup as people reach for product instead, which is easily washed off at the end of the day and flexible to changes in style or taste.”
Natural Enhancements & A Soft, Classic Finish
Making small tweaks and embracing a low-maintenance routine is key for embodying 2025’s naturally enhanced brow. Soare recommends including products that play up, rather than tame, natural hair texture for lived-in, relaxed brow looks.
“[Anastasia Beverly Hills] Volumizing Tinted Brow Gel ($46 from Adore Beauty) adds texture, covers up patchiness, and delivers perfected arches in seconds, which is ideal for beginners,” she advises. “[I wanted to create] a multi-tasking product that could build volume and definition, and what sets it apart is the new mousse-like formula and specially designed dual bristle brush for ultimate versatility in application.”
“In keeping with natural enhancements, we’ll be seeing brow thickness trending towards both thick and thin. The reason for these seemingly conflicting trends is, as people play up their given shape and texture, those with naturally thicker or thinner brows won’t be striving closer towards a median,” Soare shares with BEAUTYcrew. “Lifted brows and laminated effects continue to thrive, but I anticipate we’ll see the extreme pendulum swing start to settle towards softened, toned-down variations.”
If you have been blessed with naturally full brows, the Anastasia Beverly Hills founder advises to pay special attention to texture, volume, and detail when you’re grooming your arches.
However, thinner brows will benefit from a classic finish that prioritises softly defined, arched, and understated arches, which is easy to achieve with Anastasia Beverly Hills’ versatile Brow Wiz ($41 from Adore Beauty) — popular for creating hair-like details.
“These are brows evolving from minimal beauty looks, but with a slight increase in added texture, detail, and definition,” Soare explains. “Think: timeless glamour for day-to-day wear.”
The Red Carpet Will Become A Playground For Brow Experimentalists
If you frequently look to the red carpet for aesthetic inspiration, the statement brow looks of the 2025 awards season may surprise you, predicts Soare.
“We’ve already seen this trend seeded this year, with red carpet looks styled to let brows make major impacts — from micro brows, to embellishments, and pops of color,” she tells BEAUTYcrew. “We’ll see this evolve in 2025, and I anticipate the real show-stoppers will be brow looks that are exciting, modern takes on iconic red carpet and cinematic beauty moments of decades past.”
“I’m also excited to see men’s brow grooming gain in popularity. Great brows are for everyone,” she went on to say. “Men who have traditionally shied away from beauty products are starting to realize that makeup can be extremely subtle and fuller, better-shaped brows are capable of transforming their entire look.”
Good to know, we’re going to be keeping our eyes peeled for a sighting of Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze ($40 from Adore Beauty) taming the brow hairs of Hollywood’s hottest men…
