The wild new brow trend coming out of Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week

Every once in a while, a beauty trend comes along that’s just so out there, it’s hard to conceive how you’d ever pull it off in real life, but, it’s just so damn pretty that regardless of that, you must try!

And this has to be an A-grade example of that conundrum.

Presenting: the sparkliest brow situation we’ve seen yet, compliments of the Valentino Fall/Winter 2019/2020 show which has just taken place at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.

Now we know what you’re thinking – “glitter brows? Been there done that and I already wore those things to a music festival circa 2016.”

But keep listening ‘cause there’s glitter brows, then there’s these:

Are they not the sparkliest things you’ve ever seen?!

You can bet your bottom dollar we’ll be going out of our way to find an occasion to wear this look!

Instead of brushing some glitter gel through the brows like everyone was doing a few years back, it appears the models’ brows have actually been thoroughly disguised by being ‘soaped out’ with heavy concealer applied over the top. The new ‘brows’ have then been positioned directly below the natural brow bone for this other-worldly effect.  

Okay, so it may not be an everyday beauty look, but we’re thinking it would be super fun for a music festival like Splendour in the Grass, which is happening in just a couple of weeks!

If you’d also like to replicate this look for your next festival or night out (we mean – why the hell not?!), you’ll first need to block out your brows using soap or a mortician’s wax like Masquerade Professional Mortician’s Wax.

You’ll then want to apply your concealer (we like L’Oréal Paris Infallible More Than Concealer) carefully over the top before then drawing on your new brows using your glitter of choice – and don’t be shy, pack the glitter on there.
