Zoe Foster Blake just proved that curly-haired girls CAN pull off a bob
See, it’s a thing
You’d be forgiven for thinking short hair and curls don’t play well together. At least when you have long hair it gives your curls some weight so they don’t end up looking like a bouffy, bouncy mess. But we’re here to tell you that you can make a bob work for you even if your hair is uber curly. Actually we don’t need to tell you – Zoe Foster Blake has done all the hard work for us.
She just shared a selfie of one of her shortest haircuts yet, proving that curly-haired girls CAN pull off a bob!
Zoe posted a shot of her short new bob on her Instagram story, showcasing her gloriously bouncy curls. She captioned the post “Ahhh. Back to my ‘Me’ length”, adding “Hey, great snippin @hairbyjasmine_EdwardsandCo.”
Great snippin’ indeed.
The Go-To Skin Care founder and ex-beauty editor has been embracing her natural texture as of late, giving curly-haired girls ALL the inspiration they need to unchain themselves from the ghd and give their natural locks freedom to move the way Mother Nature intended.
But truth be told, while masses of curls have never been hotter (just check out the throng of stars rocking curly mops), there’s no denying that styling a curly bob is no easy feat. Why? Because curly hair often loves to go frizzy and be super disobedient.
While we don’t have word on how Zoe’s specifically keeping her newly chopped curls in such great shape (ahem! Look at that volume and well-behaved fringe!), she did dish out some super handy tips on her own website a little while back about the products and techniques she uses to style naturally curly hair, including using a good leave-in conditioner such as Pantene Intense Smoothening - Leave On Creme and attaching a diffuser to your hairdryer to avoid frizz, so we reckon that’s a good place to start.
Struggling with an unruly mane? Check out Zoe’s bizarre blow-drying trick that'll enhance natural waves and curls while minimising frizz.
