Westman Atelier has *finally* joined the lipstick party
If you’re in the (celeb makeup artist) know, you’ll be very familiar with the founder of Westman Atelier; Gucci Westman. With decades of experience in the world of professional beauty, Westman knows what works and what doesn’t. So when she launched her own beauty brand, Westman Atelier, it wasn’t surprising in the slightest to see just how incredible and thought through the products were. With a focus on being environmentally-conscious, this clean beauty brand promises to remain cruelty-free (a big beauty bonus).
And while we may shout praise from the rooftops about Westman Atelier, there was one thing they lacked… until now. Introducing Westman Atelier’s first ever bullet lipstick: Lip Suede.
Westman Atelier Lip Suede Lipstick
Now when we say this range of bullet lipsticks has been in the works for a while, we mean years. Westman dropped the intel that she worked on perfecting the formula for over six years (if we didn’t have high hopes already, they’ve certainly skyrocketed now). The suede matte lipstick is Westman Atelier’s first ‘official’ lipstick (think bullet form), with the brand previously known for serving sultry lips from environmentally-friendly refillable compacts ($130 at Westman Atelier).
Westman wanted to create a nourishing matte lipstick that worked in a comfortable-to-wear, hydrating finish, with of course, a vibrant colour payoff. And fitting with the brand's ethos, the ingredient list had to be full of (skin-loving) clean beauty, with no silicones in sight. All that culminated in Westman’s Hydro Suede technology, which delivers saturated, matte pigment that lasts on your lips all day without any hints of dryness or feathering.
The glorious Lip Suede range itself includes 10 transformative shades, ranging from neutrals, to pinks and berries, and of course, vibrant hard-hitting reds. The only question on our lips? Which ones will we choose?
Where to buy Westman Atelier lipstick
Currently the gloriously nourishing lipsticks are only available to shop from the Westman Atelier site. But don’t worry, you can stop holding your breath for the inevitable. Because, unlike many other international brands, Westman Atelier does ship to Australia. The bullets may be investments, but the lip looks to come will be worth the splurge. The shades are due to set you back by $82 (at Westman Atelier). But thanks to $15 express shipping, your new favourite lipstick will be in your hands in a matter of days and you’ll forget all about the price…
And if you’re more of a ‘swatch it on your hand’ kind of lipstick shopper (we get you), MECCA is set to launch the range by the end of May.
