And Tiktok has uncovered yet another hidden gem: the Revlon Super Lustrous™ Glass Shine Lipstick (RRP $25.95).
Although it was launched in 2020, the lipstick went viral at the end of 2022 and has been consistently sold out since achieving certified viral status on TikTok. And you can now get your hands on every shade for $15.39 at Chemist Warehouse.
If you’re not a lipstick girlie, this may be the perfect pick for you. The Glass Shine lipstick has been hailed as the ultimate lipgloss-lipstick hybrid. With a high-gloss finish, the product glides on like an absolute dream and offers sheer to medium coverage with just one swipe.
“If lip balm, lipstick and lipgloss had a baby, this would be it”, creator @mireyarios said in her review. Other reviewers were also quick to point out the creamy gloss-like consistency and buttery feel. “It’s like very very creamy on your lips,” according to creator @ecbells. “This is reminding me of the Hourglass one guys,” she added, referring to the Hourglass Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm ($53 at MECCA).
However, some users have pointed out that whilst the colours are dreamy, the staying power isn’t the best…
Like every other viral Tiktok beauty product, all 11 shades are perpetually sold out. And thanks to the TikTok effect, the coveted ‘90s-inspired Rum Raisin variant is about as rare a find as a unicorn so if you do spot one on the shelves, grab it immediately.
