The viral TikTok beauty hack that gives you instantly flawless skin

Since bursting onto the social media scene, gen Z-adored platform TikTok has given us a smorgasbord of beauty hacks from #sockcurls to the application trick for perfect winged eyeliner. Now, TikTok has delivered an ingenious way to instantly cover acne and make your skin look positively airbrushed in real life.

TikTok user @MikayLanogueira is behind the viral beauty hack (which now boasts 2.4 million views) and prefaces her tutorial by saying:

“Do you have a face full of acne and you just can’t figure out how to cover it up? I have a face full of acne and I’ve been able to trick people into thinking I have no acne at all,” she says.

Although Mikayla was beautiful before her makeup application, her results have us completely shook.

So, how did she do it?

Step #1 / Apply a 'sticky' serum

First Mikayla applies Exuviance Empower Radiance Serum because it’s “sticky as hell and that’s what you need for your foundation to stick.” Caudalie Vinopure Skin Perfecting Serum is another great option for blemish-prone skin.

Step #2 / Follow with a 'grippy' primer

Step #3 / Cover blemishes with concealer

Using a concealer brush and your concealer of choice, cover all blemishes. Most importantly, Mikayla says, “once you have the concealer on, don’t touch it, don’t blend it. Leave it on for two minutes and then apply your foundation.”
