Cara Delevingne and Lucy Boynton are making tie-dye makeup a thing
We already know that tie-dye clothing and accessories were a huge trend this year, and the beauty world has quickly caught on. The vibrant makeup trend is quickly becoming a favourite look among celebrities walking the red carpet and their makeup artists.
Last week, makeup artist Lisa Eldridge created a dreamy, multicolour eye makeup look on Cara Delevingne for the London premiere of Carnival Row. Using yellow and pink pigments that blended together seamlessly, Eldridge kept each of the colours saturated enough to give the finished look a tie-dye effect.
But it wasn't just Delevingne giving the fun new beauty trend a whirl. Makeup artist Jo Baker brought the pastel tie-dye look to life with actress Lucy Boynton for a Venice Film Festival event. According to her Instagram, Baker's inspiration came from both strolling around St. Mark's Square in Venice and "staring at beautiful gelato cafe displays" and scrolling through her friends' Labor Day weekend Instagram posts.
We spy a serious trend.
Tie-dye isn't the only out-there makeup trend of 2019. In case you hadn't heard the '60's are back in a big way.
