Selena Gomez’s makeup artist is the new face of Kiehl’s
Best known for his glow-inducing powers, we’d say he’s the perfect fit
Hung Vanngo is a makeup god. Boasting an insane client list, including the likes of Selena Gomez, Cindy Crawford, Emily Ratajkowski and Julianna Moore, Vanngo is the man responsible for the making some of Hollywood’s biggest celebrities beautiful.
Nicknamed by celebrity hairstylist Mark Townsend as Hung “Van Glow”, his focus on beautiful skin has become one of his signature looks. Fittingly so then, today Kiehl’s announced that it’s partnering with Vanngo in their first ever makeup artist program.
In an Instagram post, Kiehl’s wrote, “We can’t hold the secret back any longer. For the first time, Kiehl’s is excited to unveil our 2018 Global Makeup Artist program with renowned celebrity artist, @hungvanngo! As a Global Consulting Makeup Artist, Hung will be sharing his personal tips and tricks for achieving healthy skin and a flawless glow. Head over to IG Stories to learn more on our exciting partnership! #Kiehls #PrepWithKiehls #MakeupArtist#SkincareAddict”
The beauty guru also took to Instagram to share the exciting news with his 827k followers. He posted a snap of himself with a collection of Kiehl’s products, captioning it, “I am very happy to share with everyone that I will be joining the @Kiehls skincare family for 2018 as their global consulting makeup artist. Have you tried their products before? What are your favorite #Kiehls products? #Kiehls #KiehlsPartner #PrepWithKiehls”
With his favourite Kiehl’s products including the cult favourite Crème de Corps and Midnight Recovery Concentrate, Vanngo also said, “I have been aware of Kiehl’s for a long time, but hadn’t had a chance to try their products until I worked on a shoot with Elizabeth Olsen/Kiehl’s in 2014, where I was able to use their products for the first time.”
And while he may be a makeup artist, it’s clear he knows the importance that skin care plays as a pre-makeup step – especially for the red carpet, “I usually cleanse, exfoliate, and do a mask if there is time, then serum, moisturizer, eye cream, lip balm,” he said.
