Move over, flower crowns
Ordinarily you need tickets (and a whole lot of fringing, cut-offs, body glitter and braids) to enter Coachella, but this year was different.
While 2016 will forever be known as the year the flower crown became acceptable headgear, the petal accessory’s time is over.
In their place? A hair look just as questionable, if not more wearable: space buns. Don’t look now, but the ‘90s-tastic, Baby Spice-esque beauty trend is back with a high-shimmer vengeance.
Told you.
While the above Coachella cohort proves the look can be worn myriad ways – two buns or 10, glitter or no, braided or lose, we like the look best when worn with hair half up, half down, for a more casual take. Keep the buns textured, not too tight, and with the ends left out for a look that radiates Victoria’s-Secret-Model-Off-Duty nonchalance.
