Sofia Richie layers 6 cheek products to create her honeymoon makeup look
Sofia Richie’s wedding makeup was classic, simple and stunning. So naturally, we’ve been stalking her socials since to suss out what she’s using on her honeymoon with her new hubby Elliot Grainge.
And boy is she delivering.
“I am in a very tropical location. It is very humid,” revealed Richie via TikTok. “I'm definitely not wearing a lot of makeup, because I will break out.”
The solution? A tropical vacation makeup look that takes advantage of “that golden hour without looking cakey”.
To create the look she used a heck of a lot of cheek products — six to be exact — which she revealed as her week unfolded.
“I have been what I call ‘in hibernation’ for five days. Not hiding from anyone, just, like, physically exhausted,” Richie explained. “We are here for about five days, and I'm very excited to just be locked in this villa with Elliot doing nothing, having rosè and tanning.”
One of the couple's honeymoon activities involved taking turns playing narrator in the 24-year-old’s ‘get ready with me’ video voice-overs — though as one might expect, Richie’s husband’s cosmetic knowledge is hilariously lacking. Grainge does know what mascara is though, so that’s something…
He’s also acutely aware of the fact that his wife uses a lot of cheek products, and makes sure to note in the video that she’s applied about four cheek products at one point in her routine.
Sofia Richie’s honeymoon makeup look, according to her husband
1/ Cream bronzer
Grainge referred to the Nudestix Nudies Matte All Over Face Bronze Color in ‘Bondi Bae’ ($57 at Sephora) as “another black tube” that his wife blends in with a “foamy black thing” (or a beauty blender to those in the know).
2/ Cream blush
After blending the aforementioned Nudestix bronzer onto the perimeters of her face, she dabbed Nudestix Nudies Matte All Over Face Color Blush in ‘Sunset Strip’ ($57 at Sephora) onto her cheeks.
3/ Powder bronzer
Next, she took Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer (was $31.14 now $15.57 at iHerb) (or that “green thing”) and applied it with a “paintbrush” to her cheeks and jawline.
4/ Cream highlighter
She patted Chanel Baume Essentiel Multi-Use Glow Stick in ‘Transparent’ ($71 at MYER) onto the high points of her face with her finger.
5/ Powder highlighter
“Dabbing on Dior” said Grainge as his wife applied DIOR Backstage Glow Face Palette in ‘Glitz’ ($86 at Adore Beauty) to her cheeks as a topper, using a large fluffy brush.
5/ Powder blush
Just to confuse her husband further, Richie pulled out a compact of Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush in ‘Quintessence’ ($80 at Myer) to achieve a look that Grainge described as “rosie red cheeks”.
