PSA: Sephora Melbourne Central is finally reopening

And you can get your hands on a few freebies

Content Producer / September 04 2024

Call it girlhood or call it a major addiction to shopping, either way, if we didn't have regular access to our fave beauty sites and stores we're certain we'd be less pleasant people to be around. Beauty is life after all.

So, when we heard that the Melbourne Central Sephora had been having a major revamp, we were a) sad that our Melbourne girlies haven't been able to pop in for a browse and yap and b) seriously excited for the reveal. Because it turns out that not only is it the flagship store, it's actually the biggest in all of Australia (um jealous). But that's not all, the revamp is seeing the store reopen with major updated tech, ushering in a new era of innovative immersive beauty.

So, let's find out when you can head in store and shop up a storm, credit cards beware...

Sephora Melbourne

When does Sephora Melbourne Central reopen?

Sephora Melbourne Central reopens (with a huge buzz) on Thursday September 5th, with doors opening from 10am. But trust us you're going to want to get down there from 8am. Why? Well in true Sephora style they've got to throw a party to welcome in the new era. There'll be a DJ, merch, and free drinks but the most exciting part?

The first 10 people in line will be able to head in-store early and shop up a storm before the store even opens. Yep, huge, right! But don't worry if you're number 11, because Sephora are actually offering the first 1000 people in line a seriously exciting gift bag and if you're one of the first 250 people to snap up the incredible bag, you'll score yourself the brand new Tarte Amazonian Clay Face Palette

So, set your alarms and start making a shopping list (we've got you sorted with suggestions), because you'll want to get in line for all these goodies...

What to shop at Sephora Melbourne

Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint Foundation

Caudalie VinoHydra Sorbet Cream Moisturizer

Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Hair Styling Spray

So, you're ready to shop, but want to go in with a plan. Obviously you can check your beauty cupboard for anything you're running low on, or scroll endlessly through the Sephora website, or you can see our top three picks that have everything hair, skin and makeup covered. Yep, these are the three products we'd be running to get our hands on.

First up, how can we go past the skin-blurring capabilities of Rihanna's very own Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint Foundation ($54 at Sephora)? We simply can't; that's why it's earnt a forever spot in our beauty routines. But before we apply our lightweight foundation, we need to make sure our skin is super hydrated. The best in the moisturising biz? Caudalie VinoHydra Sorbet Cream Moisturizer ($52 at Sephora). Our fave part? This pretty pink tube comes from a range of similarly hydrating picks, so you can find the perfect one for you — or you know add all three to your basket, they make a beautiful pink gradient after all.

And lastly, our strands. Not to be forgotten though. We still want them looking as bouncy and glorious as humanly possible, which is why we of course have to go with Chris Appleton's fave product, the Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Hair Styling Spray ($64 at Sephora). Designed to give your tresses a hit of frizz-defying, glossy heat protection that we simply can't live without.
