The Aussie runway favourite shares her beauty tips and must-haves
Model Samantha Harris believes beauty shines from within. “I think a kind person is a beautiful one,” she says. But looking beautiful on the outside is all in a day’s work for her too, so we asked Samantha to spill her top beauty secrets.
Skin care secret
“I love using rosehip oil as a moisturiser – it makes my complexion glow and feels great on my skin.”
Signature style
“On the red carpet, my fail-safe look is a smoky eye, bronzed and contoured cheeks, and coral blush to brighten everything up. I rarely, if ever, wear make-up on weekends, but if I’m going out for a meal, I might apply lip gloss. For days where I’m working, but not shooting, I’ll blend a light layer of foundation and pair it with lip gloss and mascara. I’m not a fan of eyeliner.”
Healthy food faves
“I try and eat raw food and avoid gluten wherever possible. It makes me feel sluggish and bloated.”
Diverse beauty
“[Beauty] is not all about the white Caucasian look, there is so much more diversity today. A vast range of multicultural looks makes Australian beauty so interesting.”
Her favourite feature
“My favourite feature changes. At the moment, I like my lips; they are fairly big, but have worked well for me in modelling.”
Best ever facial
“I have only ever had three or four facials in my life – I go to The Paddington Beauty Room in Paddington, NSW. For manicures, I love L.A. Nails as they are always so quick and efficient.”
Family values
“Mum was always reminding me to be a good person and be kind to others. I think a kind person is a beautiful one.”
Hair tips
“My hair gets really dry and damaged as it’s always getting curled by tongs and straightening irons. I have at least two hair treatments a week just to keep it glossy and in peak condition.”
