Rita Ora just proved this makeup colour is STILL trending
Guys, put down those neutral shades
While we’re used to seeing Rita Ora walk the red carpet wearing bold, edgy makeup looks, the singer decided to switch up her usual go-to makeup for the 2018 ARIA Awards red carpet. And oh, it is pretty.
Her makeup hue of choice? A delicate and feminine shade of lilac eyeshadow. Yep, this eye-wateringly pretty pastel is STILL trending. And we’re not even a little bit mad about it.
We first spotted the purple makeup trend back in 2017 at the Billboard Music Awards, and it seems like the stunning eyeshadow colour isn’t going anywhere. And looking at Rita, we can totally see why!
No doubt taking cues from her unicorn-esque gown, she wore the most stunning slightly-metallic lilac hue that made her dark brown eyes look *crazy* big and sparkling. It was layered for maximum colour payoff and blended above her crease line. She then teamed it with a set of dramatic falsies (Eylure x Nicole Guerriero OneFourThree Lashes to be exact!), bold brows and a pink glossy lip.
The singer styled her long platinum blonde hair in soft elegant waves and her complexion looked glowing, luminous and goddamn *unreal* to top it all off.
The best thing about this pretty pastel eyeshadow is how great it looks on all eye colours and skin tones. Whether you’re opting for a pretty look à la Rita, or something bolder (try layering a few purple shades to create dramatic definition), you seriously can’t go wrong.
Whichever way you want to wear it, Rita is proof the lilac pastel makeup trend is still going strong – so get on board!
